The Black Mountain Tailgate Market is a seasonal Saturday morning community event, open from May to November from 9 am to noon. We are a producer-only market; all of the products represented are grown or handmade by the vendors who sell them. Our market features predominantly organic farmer-vendors of vegetables, small fruits, cut flowers, cheeses, and pasture-raised meats. We are also proud to include local artisans and bakers among our membership.

***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2024 SEASON *** “Due to Construction on the FBC Sanctuary and an increase in Market Traffic our Main Parking Lot (Located on the Corner of Montreat Rd. and First St.) will be limited to Compact Car and ADA parking. This is effective beginning May 4th, and most likely, throughout the Market Season.
ALL TRAFFIC in this area will be directed ONE WAY, behind First Baptist Church, and through to West St.
Most ADA Spaces in this lot will be marked with Safety Cones.
In order to maintain the highest standards of safety AND to ensure that our sweet neighbors are taken care of, parking is strictly enforced and violators will be towed at their expense.”
