Buckle up, Asheville! Truck City AVL is rolling back into town, and it’s going to be a paradise for your little gear-head! If you’ve ever wanted to stand in the shadow of a massive construction rig or see the cockpit of a transit bus without needing a ticket, this is your moment.
We’re taking over the parking lot at @tangeroutletsasheville for a day of high-octane (but family-friendly) exploration.
The Quiet Hour (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM) : We know the world can get a little loud. To make sure everyone can enjoy the “mighty machines,” the first hour is a designated Quiet Hour. No sirens, no honking, and no loud music—creating a low-sensory environment perfect for folks with autism, sensory sensitivities, PTSD, or dementia.
It’s not just a “look but don’t touch” situation. This is a hands-on, climb-in, and ask-everything adventure!Get up close with utility trucks, sleek transit buses, powerful construction vehicles, and specialized rigs that keep the 828 running.
Rec ‘n’ Roll Zone: Asheville Parks & Recreation is bringing the game and play zone!
Remember, adult supervision is required and don’t worry about the weather – These trucks aren’t afraid of a little water, and neither are we. We roll regardless of the forecast!
