Mid to late June begins Raspberry season in Western North Carolina. You can find them in abundance at the Farmers Markets, or you can make a day of it with the family, and pick yourself a pint or gallon or two at one of the many u-pick farms in our area. We have a few options for You Pick (U-Pick) raspberries in the Asheville area.

Black Raspberries are available June 18th, with Blackberries available for picking mid July, until mid to late August. “As always, our berries are pesticide and spray free and are ready to eat”. Call ahead for a daily update on availability before visiting. As more berries ripen, they will post which day they will be open the next week on the Facebook page. Typically pick days are 8:00 am until 12 noon, rain or shine. $3.50 per pound.” 

2019 SEASON: Opened June 8th-14th (The Black Raspberries have now all been picked and we will be closed until the Blackberries ripen in July)

HOURS: Dates and times are posted on their Facebook page as their bushes ripen over time.

We will most likely have blueberries in late-June, black raspberries mid-June, red raspberries in August, and blackberries in August.

2019 SEASON:

Heritage Red Raspberries ripen for u-pick early June, and the first crop is typically available through July, with a 2nd crop ripening in mid September and available through November (around Thanksgiving). Wineberries, Native Blackcap Blackberries, Thornless Blackberries, Native Blackberries, and Blueberries will all ripen enough for u-pick by the end of June and will go through November (around Thanksgiving).

(Blueberries, Raspberries & Blackberries) We are a locally owned you pick berry and flower farm.  We have been here for over 20 years working with the wonderful river soil in the Pisgah Forest.  Originally a dairy farm, we have transitioned to organically grown berries and flowers and now house a commercial vegetable operation.

2019 SEASON: July 10th –

HOURS: Mondays-Saturdays, 9:00am-5:00pm (make an appointment)

Sunflower Maze, black raspberries, raspberries, blackberry picking, watermelon, and chickens! Raspberries and blackberries start mid June and end about mid to late July. A later variety of raspberries start mid to late august and goes to mid to late September. Most of our crops are organic. Containers provided. Come get you some. Folks are welcome to come pick anytime from 10:00am-6:00pm Mon-Sat, and 1:00pm-5:00pm Sunday. No appointment necessary.
