Canton Parks & Recreation … The goal of Canton Summer Camp is to provide a fun and safe place where kids will spend all summer outside doing crafts, playing games, and other FUN things! Each group will be separated by the grade they are going into in the fall. Each week will have different themes with coordinating activities. Canton Summer Camp will be focused on outdoor fun and community engagement! Parents must attend one of the scheduled Parents Meetings at Canton Town Hall to meet with organizers and register for camps.

Mills River Parks & Recreation …Our Summer camps are designed for students to have fun while still focusing on skill refinement. We break tennis down into the fundamental skills to help the player through fun drills and games. Players learn proper grips, footwork, strokes, volleys and serves throughout the program. In addition to learning a love for tennis, athletes will learn the rules and etiquette that make tennis such an exciting game to play. We will also focus on getting students to levels of match play. The Asheville Mountain Kitchen … Hands On Cooking and Baking Summer Camps with Ofri Gilan. This is a hands-on camp exploring comfort foods, using seasonal ingredients and fresh vegetables from the garden. The final menu will be determined closer to the camp and will accommodate the participants’ dietary preferences, as well as garden bounty. Empyrean Arts … Our Circus Kiddos will learn tricks and skills and have ample playtime on Aerial Hoop (aka Lyra), Aerial Sling, Aerial Silks, and Trapeze. Playground Stage at Avery’s Creek Community Center … Playground Stage Summer Camp is the young performer’s chance to experience all aspects of putting on a show! Every student has a chance to set design, costume design, and act in a musical with help from professional Teaching Artists! On the last day of camp the students will perform a play for friends and family in an outdoor performance complete with set, costumes, and props. French Broad RiverCamp with RiverLink … RiverCamp seeks to educate and empower the next generation of watershed stewards. They provide opportunities for river and watershed exploration. Guided by RiverLink staff, campers will engage in hands-on environmental education, and river recreation. By the end of your time together, campers will have a newfound appreciation and love for their watershed. Throughout the week campers will visit waterfalls, national forests, lakes, swimming holes and more. Ruby Ranch … Each day will include a craft, an optional garden activity, optional horse time, lunch as a group and then a walk down to the creek for some water play. This camp will be almost entirely outdoors, with an indoor barn space available in colder/wet weather or lightening/high winds. The Salvation Army of Hendersonville, NC … During camp season, The Salvation Army provides a wide range of engaging summer camp activities for kids, such as swimming, canoeing, hiking, archery, and other sports. In addition, the camps also offer educational and non-sports programs, such as arts and crafts, music, and drama. Kids are encouraged to develop social skills through team-building activities, leadership training, and community service projects.
