Asheville Parks & Recreation … Get ready for a summer focused on positive teamwork, building independence, and fostering imagination and creativity! Black Mountain Parks & Recreation … Black Mountain Parks & Recreation is being held at Grey Eagle Arena in Black Mountain. “We are very active and enjoy exploring our local pools, parks, walking trails, creeks and local attractions. Canton Parks & Recreation … The goal of Canton Summer Camp is to provide a fun and safe place where kids will spend all summer outside doing crafts, playing games, and other FUN things! Each group will be separated by the grade they are going into in the fall. Each week will have different themes with coordinating activities. Canton Summer Camp will be focused on outdoor fun and community engagement! Parents must attend one of the scheduled Parents Meetings at Canton Town Hall to meet with organizers and register for camps.

Mills River Parks & Recreation …Our Summer camps are designed for students to have fun while still focusing on skill refinement. We break tennis down into the fundamental skills to help the player through fun drills and games. Players learn proper grips, footwork, strokes, volleys and serves throughout the program. In addition to learning a love for tennis, athletes will learn the rules and etiquette that make tennis such an exciting game to play. Transylvania Parks & Recreation … We are excited to announce that we have added two more weeks of full day camps as well as two more weeks of our Little Explorers Camp. Camps fill up fast and are first come/first serve, so make sure you have an online account with us and prepared to pay with a card. Waynesville Parks & Recreation … Get ready for a summer packed with exciting outdoor adventures, creative indoor activities, and endless fun with friends! From games and crafts to exploring the great outdoors, Basecamp 2025 is the place to be! Parents must attend a Summer Base Camp Informational Meeting in order to receive information regarding summer camp options and Counselor in Training opportunities. Meetings are scheduled for Feb 17th-21st at 6:00pm. Summer camp payment is due March 15th, 2025 8:00–11:00 AM, and this is the ONLY time payments will be taken, and the ONLY way to guarantee a spot—no early payments allowed to keep things fair! The Asheville Mountain Kitchen … Hands On Cooking and Baking Summer Camps with Ofri Gilan. This is a hands-on camp exploring comfort foods, using seasonal ingredients and fresh vegetables from the garden. The final menu will be determined closer to the camp and will accommodate the participants’ dietary preferences, as well as garden bounty. Asheville Music Academy … Rock Academy and Music Academy Summer Camps are the perfect place for young musicians who want the coolest of summer camp experiences to meet and play with others. Mar 25th & 27th @ 1:00 pm and 30th @ 2:00 pm – Ellaberry Llama Farm Tours in Hendersonville. You’ll  start the tour by meeting all of their llamas and alpacas, followed by an educational talk that includes the uses of llamas, interesting facts about them, and how their farm got started. They then give everyone opportunities to walk different llamas and alpacas through their obstacle course. You’ll end the tour with family pictures down by the creek in the arbor. $25/per person. Select Times, Mar 27th, 30th, Apr 2nd & 3rd – Marbling Easter Eggs at Majik-Studios in Asheville with Pam Granger Gale. Perfect activity for parents and teens during the Easter week vacation. Come and experiment with floating paint, drawing designs and printing on paper!! One parent and at least one teen 13-17 years old in this class. Mar 23rd 11:00am-1:00pm – Jumping’ Into Easter Sugar Cookie Decorating Class at Sweet and Southern Bakery in Asheville. In this 1.5 – hour class, we’ll cover the basics to sugar cookies (so – yes, it’s beginner friendly!), do some piping practice with Royal Icing, talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing! Everything you’ll need is provided at class along with TWO live in-person instructors – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron). This class is good for almost any age (as long as they can safely use a scribe) but if you’d like to leave the kiddos at home, purchase an add-on kit! Gates open at 5:30-6:15 am for 6:45am service; Sunrise at 7:16am. “Celebrate Easter with us at this western North Carolina tradition. Chimney Rock has been hosting this non-denominational Easter service for almost 70 years. There’s nothing like watching the sun rise over beautiful Lake Lure and the blue ridge foothills.
