STRAWBERRY PICKING (Season: Apr/May-June)

May and June are peak strawberry picking season in Western North Carolina. The Farmers Markets are a great place to pick up a pint or gallon or two, but picking your own is a fun and family friendly activity, sure to delight the kids! We have a few options for You Pick (U-Pick) strawberries in the Asheville area.

Instructions, containers, directions, pricing there. These strawberries have been grown without any insecticides or fungicides, using organic methods (not certified). They are not grown on plastic, so will need to be washed. Come out anytime. Enjoy!!

Playball Asheville Facebook Summer Camp GIVEAWAY CONTEST

FACEBOOK GIVEAWAY TIME!

We have been gifted 3 days of Summer Camp (each!), to give away to 2 LUCKY winners, at Playball Asheville! “Playball camp is where kids go to have a BALL! Each half-day is loaded with high energy games and teamwork activities derived from 8 major sports. Coaches introduce the children to a wide variety of movement and skills in 3 main areas; locomotion, stability, and manipulation of equipment. They gain physical, social, and emotional strengths through positive coaching in an encouraging environment. We exercise our right brains as well by doing a sporty craft each day. Nature and music are also important components of our day. There will be a shady playground, classrooms, indoor recreation hall, full kitchen, grassy play ball space away from the road, and blacktop for basketball skills.”

Playball Asheville Camp is a Co-Ed program for boys and girls aged 3-7 years, held this year at Oakley United Methodist Church in Fairview. Camp will be held half days (9am-1pm) Daily/Weekly, Monday through Friday, July 2nd, 2018 though August 10th, 2018, and the winner can choose the week(s) they attend, and can choose to use the days one at a time, or consecutively.
