HENDERSONVILLE: 4th of July Parade
The 4th of July Parade will kick off at 10:30 AM, on Friday, July 4, 2025, with parade entries lining up at 9:00 – 9:30 AM on Main Street, south of Caswell. We encourage participants to visit the Hendersonville Merchants and Business Association website for additional information at www.nchmba.com/
No parking will be allowed along the parade route on Main Street after 6:00 AM. Main Street will be closed at approximately 9:00 AM, with the avenues remaining open until 15 minutes before the parade begins. We appreciate the community’s cooperation in adhering to these closures, which assists in creating a safe and fun environment for attendees.
Nearby paid parking is available in the City’s parking deck at the corner of 5th Avenue and Church, with more information on parking available at www.hvlnc.gov/parking. Free parking is available just beyond the boundaries of Church and King, as well as free on-street parking on Church Street.
For public safety, access to the fourth floor of the parking deck will be restricted during the fireworks event. Barricades will be in place starting early in the morning on Friday, July 4th.
Once the parade concludes, Main Street from Caswell to 3rd Avenue will remain closed as we prepare for the 4th of July celebration and concerts starting at 5:00 PM.

Waverly Live with David Childers Trio, Independence Day Edition
Celebrate this 4th of July with NC Music Hall of Fame Inductee, David Childers along with Korey Dudley (bass) and Robert Childers (percussion). David returns to the Waverly front porch once again. We will have traditional 4th of July cookout fare of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and more. Hope to see you here!
Singer-songwriter David Childers is the proverbial study in contradictions. A resident of Mount Holly, North Carolina, he’s a former high-school football player with the aw-shucks demeanor of a good ol’ Southern boy. But he’s also a well-read poet and painter who cites Chaucer and Kerouac as influences, fell in love with folk as a teen, listens to jazz and opera, and fed his family by practicing law before turning in his license to concentrate on his creative passions.
