Make your own glass pumpkin! (13 years of age or older )

Get in the fall spirit by making your own glass pumpkin! This September – November we are adding a pumpkin option to our 30-minute make your own classes. For $80 you will work with one of our talented, experienced artist instructors to craft your very own pumpkin that will serve as a glass keepsake for years to come. Learn the basics of working with molten glass as your instructor guides you through the entire process! All levels welcome.

Time slots are available every day, but Tuesdays, from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (last slot begins at 5:30 pm). If you would like to share this experience with others, please book consecutive time slots for each individual. Spectators are always welcome free of charge!

Students must be 13 years of age or older with a signed waiver by a parent or legal guardian.

Please note that due to the nature of hot glass, pieces may not be taken home the day they are made. They must slowly cool first and may be picked up the following day after 3:00 pm. Shipping can be arranged for an additional fee.

Tot Time (riders 5 and under)

Wednesdays 9:30am-11:30am

Tot Time at Kolo Bike Park at the Adventure Center of Asheville. Tot time is for riders 5 and under to get a chance to ride the pump track and skills area free from the pressures of bigger older kids buzzing around them. Helmet and closed toe shoes are required for anyone riding. $5/Admission (when you bring your own bike), $15/Bike Rental (includes park admission).

Walmart Car Seat Trade In Event

Sept 16th-30th –

The first-ever Walmart Car Seat Recycling Event will take place Sept. 16-30, in celebration of National Baby Safety Month. Customers can trade in used car seats at the Service desk in any participating Walmart store and receive a $30 Walmart gift card* that can be used in store or online to buy items for their baby. All car seats collected in this program will be recycled through TerraCycle, and each component will be diverted from the landfill.

➖Limit 2 trade-ins per household

Harry Potter Hallowe’en

Join us in our great hall. We’re having a special trivia night for our Harry Potter fans. So many important events happen on this holiday in the Harry Potter books so we’ll be quizzing you about them and more. We’ll have prizes for best costume and the trivia winners. Hopefully we won’t have any trolls in the dungeon.

Pumpkin Pastries will be provided by 3Eggs Cakery and Fermented Nonsense will be re-releasing Sirius’s Black IPA.

50th Annual Smoky Mountain Folk Festival

The 50th Annual Smoky Mountain Folk Festival, to be held at Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center, will offer two nights of the finest traditional music and dance of the Southern Appalachian Region.

The Outside Open Tent Show features talent from 5 – 6:30pm and the Main Shows begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Grand Stage of Stuart Auditorium overlooking beautiful Lake Junaluska. Both nights will include a rich variety of the region’s finest fiddlers, banjo players, string bands, ballad singers, buck dancers, and square dance teams as well as the marvelous sounds of dulcimer, harmonica, jew’s harp, bagpipes, spoons, saws, and folk ensembles.

Princess and Me Photo Session

Once upon a time, they were little and then they grew and flew out of the nest. Hold on to those tiny and precious moments with your little princess or prince! Document them as they are in this moment full of wonder and awe, with a magical portrait by our Queen of Fantasy Ivana Desančić.
Join us Nov 10th for our very first ‘Princess and Me Session’.

There are only 6 sessions available starting at 10am
Each 45 min session (scheduled on the hour) is $300 and comes with 5 edits, and your Real Life Princess of choice. Bring your little one in their favorite princess dress or royal attire and they get to meet and spend one on one time with their favorite princess while Ivana does her photo magic.
