Moving Mamas exercise series

1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month … confirm on their Facebook page if inclement weather is expected

We meet in the Lowes parking lot and walk the path into Pisgah Forest

Let’s get moving!

Remaining active or restarting activity are often a struggle in late pregnancy and the early postpartum period. Mother-to-mother connection is the most ancient and trusted way for women to successfully ease their transition into motherhood. Join other mamas and soon-to-be mamas in this fun and functional workout group aimed at getting and keeping you moving, loving your body as it is, and connecting with one another. Moving Mamas is lead by a DONA trained doula and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. Additionally she is a two time marathon runner and mother of three. Children birth to walking are welcome to join their mama.

Topics discussed will include:

  • Breastfeeding
  • Sleep (yours and the baby)
  • Adjusting to motherhood
  • Exercise and nutrition
  • Siblings
  • Much, much, more!

Come prepared to move! Comfortable clothing (workout wear) and athletic shoes are recommended. We will be outside so dress for the weather (baby too!).

Weekly workouts will include walking, stretching, stretching with your stroller if you have one, and breathing exercises. As the weeks go on we will add core strength training.

Bring your stroller, water, and a healthy snack.

Please contact Kelly Brown for more information at kelly@homegrownbabies.com or (828) 551-7941.
