The City of Asheville invites the community to celebrate the unveiling of new public art installations at 3 p.m. Nov. 30. The event will start at Jean Webb Park at 30 Riverside Drive, and end at the Craven Street Boat Launch at 190 Riverside Drive. The purpose is to highlight the greenway, art and the community.
Big Fish, a large metal sculpture created by local artist, David Earl Tomlinson, will be unveiled. Attendees will also be able to walk the future section of a riverfront greenway.

We are very excited to announce another partnership with UNC Asheville! Our Asheville YMCA and the UNC Asheville Women’s Basketball team have partnered to host an instructional basketball clinic on Dec. 1 at the Asheville Y. The clinic is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5-16. This $15 clinic will include an hour and half of instruction from college coaches and players as well as a t-shirt. As part of the Child and Adult Care Food Program, the YMCA of WNC Nutrition Department hosts free meals for anyone under the age of 18 at the Ferguson Family YMCA and ALL AGES at the Corpening Memorial YMCA, every Saturday!
We serve lunches from 11am -1pm, and your family does not have to be a member of the Y to participate.
