Asheville’s biggest nerd gathering is back! Bigger and better than ever. Asheville Comic Expo, or ACE for short, returns once again to the US Cellular Center in beautiful downtown Asheville. Come meet your favorite comic artist, see your favorite super heroes, dress up and enter our costume contest, or try to find that one nerd item that has eluded you.
There will be local and national artist, vendors, dealers, cosplay, and so much more. All ages are welcome and kids 10 and under get in free! This event is founded and hosted by Comic Envy.
Join us for festive holiday decor, holiday treats, tours of Whitewater Cove, and a visit from Santa.

Folkmoot’s Second Saturday Markets continue March 9 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. inside the Folkmoot Friendship Center Cafeteria (112 Virginia Ave, Waynesville). A gathering place for friends of all ages, markets feature vendors, live music, ballroom dance lessons for $5, and a homemade meal for $10. Beer and wine are available for purchase and tables will be set up for participants to play board and card games that they bring from home. There is no entry fee for Second Saturday Markets. The 2018 Veterans Showcase aims to celebrate the participants and instructors of the Arts & Wellness for Veterans Program.
Don’t miss the moving musical performances, readings from veterans in the creative writing & poetry classes, and demonstrations in ceramics.
In addition, we will be joined by Black Box Dance Theatre, a company from Raleigh that brings a new and unique vision to dance. In a powerful performance called Move to Action led by veteran, composer, and dance collaborator, Alfredo Hurtado, the troupe will portray Hurtado’s poignant story.

Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night the Addams host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents. A shorter version of the Broadway musical, performed by students ages 12-17 in our Tanglewood Youth Production Class.
