OPEN! Street Tweaks, Sunday, November 4, 12-3pm ¬– It’s one-part car-free block party and one-part invitation to try out the new and improved Coxe Avenue!
The Street Tweaks Team has reimagined four city blocks to be more inviting and safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and car traffic, using inventive temporary materials and on-street art. With this open-streets-style debut celebration, you’re invited to play in the street with non-car wheels, feet and creativity. Bike parking available in front of Urban Orchard on Buxton Ave. Help roll out the good vibes!

HollOween Doggie Costume Contest & Photoshoot Event
Calling all Dog Lovers! You won’t want to miss the HallOween Fundraiser for the Asheville Humane Society that includes a Doggie Costume Contest and Photoshoot Event. So dress up your Furry Friends in costume, pack up the family, and be prepared for a Howling good time!
Forever Friends Photography Services will be offering 15-minute professional photoshoot sessions during this event on a first-come-first-serve basis. Each high-quality digital image will be processed and emailed to you for you to download and easily print. The cost of each image is $10.00 (minimum of 3) and credit cards are accepted. We also donate 10% of the processed to the Asheville Humane Society.
