The Scottish Tartans Museum and Heritage Center

Monday-Saturday, 10:00am-5:00pm

A tour of the Scottish Tartans Museum and Heritage Center, Inc. offers a look into “the origins, history, and development of tartans.”, specifically the development of the kilt.

Other exhibits also cover various aspects of the Scottish emigrant experience into North Carolina, and their interaction with the Cherokee people, natives to the southern Appalachians.

This one-of-a-kind tartan museum is the only one located in the US. Located in the wee mountain town of Franklin, because of the fact that there are more people with Celtic heritage in North Carolina than anywhere in the world.

Fall On The Farm

Help us support United Way by joining us for our October 26th campaign finale! There will be trunk-or-treating, pie bidding, a pumpkin raffle, games, and a 50/50 raffle for team members, residents, and the larger community to join.

According to United Way, by the end of the 2018 year, our staff will have raised enough through payroll deduction and one time gifts for 600 seniors & people living with disabilities to have the support needed to remain independent and in good health. Not only that, but those funds helped support 500 families or individuals in crisis to obtain the food, rent payment, and utilities they need.
