Kid Craft & Snack Time

Come join us for some fun craft time with your kid(s)!  All skill levels welcome, from doodlers to artists. Make the craft, and enjoy meeting other local moms in the area. We will provide all of the materials, and some light snacks, coffee, and juice for moms and kids. We look forward to seeing you there!

 

DEC 8TH: Festive Fairview Friday … Join us for Festive Fairview Friday on Dec. 7th from 5-8! We will have a FREE ornament making station for kiddos, and they can let their creativity fly with one of these cute options! We will also have hot beverages forthe adults, and an ugly sweater contest. You don’t want to miss out onthe fun!

Fireworks In the Park – July 4th Celebration

Come join us for our FREE annual 4th of July Fireworks in the Park Celebration! We’ll be adding details as we get closer to our Independence Day Celebration.

All American 4th of July : Franklin’s Annual Independence Day Celebration

The Town of Franklin presents an … All American 4th of July!

Wednesday, July 4, 2018 … 10:00am to 12 Noon

9:30 am …………………………………… Parade Lineup
10:00 am …………………………………. July 4th Parade Begins
10:00 am to Noon …………………… Kid’s Zone with inflatables include a Water Slide!
10:30 am …………………………………. Little Miss & Mr. Firecracker Contest

Franklin’s Annual Independence Day Celebration begins with our annual 4th of July Parade at 10:00am. While you go most places to see a parade, we actually invite you to participate! Deck out in red, white and blue and walk or drive down Main Street. NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. To join in, just be in the lower level of Franklin Town Hall for lineup beginning at 9:30 am. The route will take the parade down Main Street to Entegra Bank to disband.

Following the parade the Town has several great contests planned including Little Mr. & Miss Firecracker Contest at 10:30am. This contest is open to ages 3 to 6 and is judged on patriotic costume and one question. No registration is required.

The Patriotic Pet Contest follows at 11:00am. Deck your pets out in red, white, and blue for this fun contest!

Other events include an all new & FREE Kids Zone with inflatables featuring a water slide. Be sure your young ones are dressed appropriately for this attration. You can enjoy Free Watermelon & Popcorn (as long as it lasts).

Activities conclude at 12 Noon and this event is held rain or shine!

Many of our Downtown Merchants & Restaurants will be open so be sure to check out the many unique shopping opportunities and eateries Franklin, NC has to offer.

Following the Town of Franklin’s activities, travel to the Macon County Recreation Park (south of Franklin on U.S. 441) and join the Franklin Chamber of Commerce for their annnual fun day and fireworks display.

It’s a great day and evening of family fun as we celebrate Independence Day in Historic Franklin, North Carolina!

• Michael Hammer of SamPro will be introducing NEW items — Pentel Micro Brush Pens and Princeton Aqua Elite Brushes!
• Eliana Rodriguez from Speedball Art Products will be teaching the basics of Block Printing using a range of Speedball supplies
• Mark Hitchcock will be demonstrating Finetec Watercolors and Crafter Workshop Stencils (get a sneak peek on new designs coming to our store!)
• Local artist and teacher Tony Corbitt will be oil painting LIVE on our newest easel, the ultra-sturdy Crank Easel
• And last but not least, learn more about American Journey Watercolors and Kilimanjaro Watercolor Paper with Cheap Joe’s very own art educator, Julie, as she demonstrates our private label brands and introduces us to NEW American Journey colors!
