Please Put the Fence Back Up at the Playground in Patton Park

The playground at Patton Park in Hendersonville was recently redone, and in the process they removed the fence that surrounded it. As parents, you know that fenced in playgrounds are especially hard to find and are sometimes the only safe places for outdoor play and social interaction for young kids who tend to wander or have special needs. According to the Department of Public Works, the fence will not be put back up, and the only way to change that is to appeal the decision at the next City Council Meeting being held at City Hall on June 7th at 5:45pm. Please come out, show your support, and let your voices be heard for putting the fence back up.

Without it being on the agenda, this issue will have to be addressed during “public comment time”, which is 3rd on the agenda, so it should be heard soon after the meeting begins.
