A stage complete with electrical hook-up is available for anyone who wants to play some live music or present any art.
Vegetables and fruits available last year included, but was not limited to: slicing tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, sauce tomatoes, basil, carrots, chard, collards, thyme, mint, cilantro, potatoes, sweet potatoes, snap beans, snow peas, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples, peaches, hot peppers, sweet peppers, radishes, brussel sprouts, turnips, salad greens, rosemary, cabbages, broccoli, broccolini, summer squash, winter squash, zucchini, cucumbers, dried beans, watermelons, cantaloupes, pumpkins, and more.

The third annual Hook, Line and Drinker Festival will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 3-7 p.m. at the Bridge Park in Sylva, N.C.
The festival, organized by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, is a celebration of Jackson County being the home of the N.C. Trout Capital and the WNC Fly Fishing Trail.
The festival features local craft beer vendors, fishing and outdoor industry vendors, food trucks, and music by progressive bluegrass band Another Country (3-4:45 p.m.) and soulful rocker Leeda “Lyric” Jones (5:15-7 p.m.).
Admission is free, but patrons 21 and over must purchase a $5 commemorative cup in order to purchase craft beer from our vendors. There will be children’s activities on site as well.
The second annual Tuck Trout Trot fun run/walk kicks off the day’s celebration at 9 a.m., at the nearby Jackson County Greenway in Cullowhee. Registration for the Tuck Trout Trot includes a T-shirt. Come meet local obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, doulas, pediatricians and numerous community vendors that encompass everything mom, baby or child. There will be pregnancy and baby health information, prenatal yoga and massage demonstrations and information, CPR education for children and babies, first-aid for children, child seat safety education and checks, giveaways, baby photo contest, and children’s activities such as face painting and more.
