Art Buzz Kids Summer Camp (6-12yrs)

Monday 6/19 – Friday 6/23, 9am-1pm … “Under the Sea” … Put on your snorkel and join us as we will explore all manner of creatures and life under the sea! Painting, drawing and other interactive three dimensional craft projects will revolve around our sea creature friends and their beautiful underwater world. We will make shark fins, octopus paintings and more! We will also discuss the perils faced by some endangered sea animals, and how important the health of our seas is for a healthy planet! … $175/week. Monday 7/10 – Friday 7/14, 9am-1pm … Our Wizard Academy is not just for those that love art- but also for those that love magic! We will make spell books, galaxy potions, mystical wands and mandrake root bowls. No week would be complete without our very own Patronus shirts and masterpieces of wonder (always;). … $175/week. Monday 7/24 – Friday 7/28, 9am-1pm … “What’s in Your Garden?” … Plant some artistic seeds with us this week! We’ll ‘grow’ our art skills while exploring the wonders of the flora and fauna of the garden! Through painting and three dimensional crafts, we will consider our pollinators- hummingbirds, butterflies and bees and their importance to our gardens and food supply. We’ll visually explore the beauty of flowers and plants, and even decorate a birdhouse to bring home to our own gardens! … $175/week. Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg hunt at Black Mountain United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 13 10:00-11:30. Lunch will be provided. All children and their guardians are welcomed. The church is located at the corner of State and Church streets. Call 669-8248 for more information.

Exploring Spring (10-14yrs)

Exploring Spring in Jackson Park. a guided nature hike, looking for signs of spring. April 19th, 1:00pm till 3:00. Registration is required.

Blue Ridge Recovery Rally 2020

Attention! It’s time to come together and celebrate recovery from substance abuse! Save the date! May 16th starting at 10 am. Free t-shirts and lunch (limited so arrive early!) Free activities for the kiddos. Live music and recovery stories throughout the afternoon. Don’t miss it!

Parent University

Join HopeRx in conjunction with Henderson County Public Schools for our first Parent University, Thursday, April 6, on the campus of Blue Ridge Community College (in the Bo Thomas Auditorium in the Sink Building). Light hors d’oeuvres will be served followed by a guest speaker and distinguished panel to address substance misuse, abuse, and prevention in Henderson County. Learn how we can protect our children and keep them safe from harmful substances, especially prescription drugs commonly available in our own homes. Presented by Park Ridge Health

Come out and join us for kids’ activities and a whole lot of fun. We will have a K-9 demonstration, photo opooruntiy with the Easter Bunny, door prize drawings and an Easter egg hunt. There will also be a hot dog lunch for everyone who attends the event. Hope to see you there!
