We will have lots of great raffle prizes, including Lego Batman sets, Bricks 4 Kidz Batman t-shirts and even a FREE WEEK OF SUMMER CAMP!! Our summer camps will be open for registration at this event and we will have a special gift for anyone who registers for a camp while visiting with us during the movie weekend!!

Acree Macam & Natalie Nelson present The King of Birds

The children’s picture book, The King of the Birds, is inspired by the life of Flannery O’Connor. Beautiful illustrations fill this book based on the acclaimed Southern fiction writer, who kept fowl as a child and trained a hen to walk backward. The reviewer notes that O’Connor’s work “proved that everybody—even preachers and grandmothers—needs to be forgiven.” Literary-minded adults will enjoy this as much as the kids!

Love Who You Want Weekend: Benefit show for QORDS

We are happy to announce the fourth annual Love Who You Want benefit for QORDS is now extended to a weekend of events! For the Friday night show we will have:
– A family-friendly drag show with local drag stars

– Photobooth
– Silent auction

FREE Youth Cooking Class (12-18yrs)

GO & Positive Changes are kicking-off a new program: Positive Changes Cooking Classes with GO Kitchen Ready!

Every other Friday, Chef Gene and the Kitchen Ready staff will be teaching free cooking classes to local youth from 5 to 6:30 pm in Southside Kitchen.

Please bring your youth out to participate in this class. This is only one initiative that we have to empower our youth and to help them to develop life long skills.

Pre-registration is not required, however a parent or legal guardian will need to accompany the student to their first class and sign a liability waiver before the child can participate.

Full Day: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Half Day camp: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. OR 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
