Wolf Howl Presentation
Tuesday, November 6 & 13, 6-8pm
Location: WNC Nature Center
Join us for an educational evening for the entire family focusing on Red and Grey Wolves of North America. The evening includes an indoor presentation followed by an outdoor trek to our wolf compound for a howling session and introduction to our wolves. Discover the legends and lore of these top predators and find out the “truths” about wolves. Refreshments served after the program. Please call 828-259-8082 for more details and to register. Hiking and Geocaching the Hickory Nut Gorge (8-10yrs)
We’ll head east toward Gerton where we will hike and explore trails in the Hickory Nut George. We will eat lunch along the trail and try our hand at Geocaching. Drop off and pick up at Rec Park Picnic Shelter.

Join us for a Howlin’ good time at the Nature Center’s annual Howl-O-Ween event! This Halloween-themed family festival offers fun arts & crafts, games and face painting, a hay maze, and educational animal encounters throughout the day.
