Mark your calendars for the return of the East West Pop Up Shop! Your favorite pop up retail shop featuring over 50 local, indie artists, makers, vintage collectors, and yummy food!

The Fall Pop Up Market will feature a curated selection from some of today’s finest independent makers, along with workshops, food and drink, music, and more.

Shoppers will find a variety of outstanding handmade and vintage goods at the Pop Up – ranging from one-of-a-kind jewelry, greeting cards, clothing, accessories, leather goods, art prints, housewares, and gifts for baby. Lake James Dragon Boat Festival

This family-friendly event will include local and regional teams coming together to race against each other in a series of heats and will take place at Paddy’s Creek in Lake James State Park, NC.  The event will begin at 9 am and conclude around approximately 4 pm.  Spectators are encouraged to come to the park with their lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festivities.

Food vendors and music will keep the event lively for all throughout the day!

National Walk to School Day & National Bike to School Day

International Walk to School Day is a global event that involves communities from more than 40 countries walking and biking to school on the same day. It began in 1997 as a one-day event. Over time, this event has become part of a movement for year-round safe routes to school and a celebration – with record breaking participation – each October. Today, thousands of schools across America – from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico – participate every October.
