10th Annual Flock to the Rock

Join us to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of one of Western North Carolina’s most popular Annual events, Flock to the Rock. Originally created to help folks understand why Hickory Nut Gorge is such a premier birding location, this event has grown in size and popularity every year. You don’t have to be an avid birder to find something of interest at this event, but it may just be the reason you become one. Guided bird walks, raptor flight shows, live bird demos and workshops are a few of the ways you’ll discover that Chimney Rock isn’t just for the birds!

Sept 9th – National Teddy Bear Day at all area Build-A-Bear locations! Guests can make their own limited-edition National Teddy Bear Day bear, and/or Lil’ Vanilla Bean Cub and Lil’ Hazelnut Cub, for just $5 (normally $12) (plus applicable taxes). Each guest can purchase and stuff a maximum of five $5 bears, while supplies last. AND … “In the spirit of the brand’s mission to “add a little more heart to life”, for every $5 bear purchased on Sept. 9th, Build-A-Bear will donate a furry friend to Toys for Tots in the United States (up to 30,000 furry friends).”
