Dads Bowl FREE

Happy Father’s Day to all Dads. Come join us on Father’s Day for bowling, food and drink specials. All dads bowl for free (Must be accompanied by your child or children).

Children pay $2.00 per game per child $2.00 for shoe rental for children. Dads shoes are free !!!!

Annual Animal Birthday Party

Grandfather Mountain celebrates the birthdays of all the animals in its environmental habitats with games, contests, crafts and surprises. Grandfather’s habitat staff has prepared a fun-filled day for guests, as well as programs to celebrate the park’s furry and feathered inhabitants.

The Asheville Triathlon Kid’s Splash N’ Dash

The Asheville Triathlon is set for July 21, 2019! We have several categories for this event including: individuals and 2 or 3 person relay teams!

The race consists of a beautiful outdoor pool swim in a 50 meter pool, rolling bike course and a flat and fast run course! The race is perfect for every level of triathlete, from novice to elites. We are excited to partner with IDream Athletes Foundation with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the local organization. The race is limited to 350 participants and we expect it to sell out! Join us for some summer fun at the Asheville Triathlon.

FREE Reading Buddy/ Storytime (preschool/elementary)

Tuesdays from 10-12 am. June 14,21,28 and July 5,12,19,26 plus Saturdays June 18 and July 2,23.

If you have a preschooler or an elementary school age child, you are welcome to join us for a fun morning of stories lead by Carson Morris a senior Girl Scout of troop 30026.

Your child will enjoy stories, learn a word of the day, have some art time and play on the playground (weather permitting). This program is offered Free of Charge. While you child is in the program feel free to shop in the Thrift Store, check out the food pantry or see the other facilities (picnic shelter). The Pool opens at Noon so you can enjoy a dip before you head home.

Cars & Coffee Asheville

Cars and Coffee Asheville is a monthly area gathering in WNC of auto enthusiasts from 8:00am – 10:00am on the third Saturday of each month.

This is a family freindly event! There will be coffee and pastries for sale.

The FOOD LION SKATEPARK is 17,000 square feet of skating excitement located at the corner of Flint and Cherry St. in downtown Asheville across I-240 from the Civic Center.

Designed and built by Team Pain, The Food Lion Skatepark is a unique concrete park with three distinctive areas in the beginner bowl, intermediate street course and an advanced vertical bowl. For information call 225-7184.
