Save the Earth AND the Date! We are teaming up with the Swannanoa Valley Museum and History Center to host Pollinator Palooza on April 22nd from 10am-2pm! This year on Earth Day, we’ll be offering a series of pollinator-themed activities to celebrate the rich and diverse ecosystem that we’re lucky to call home in WNC. Join us for kids arts activities, a music class, costume parade, artists’ market, and more! The events will end in a celebration for our newest mural by artist Lara Nguyen. These activities will be free and open to anyone, so we hope to see you here!

Easter Sunday Community Brunch
Kanuga invites the community to celebrate spring with an Easter brunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, April 9. Guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds and trails before or after the meal. Kanuga’s 21 miles of hiking trails will be open, as well as Daisy’s Lake Trail, which is an easy walk encircling Kanuga Lake. In addition, Kanuga Lake’s waterfront will be open for swimming and boating from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., with canoes and kayaks available (weather permitting).
“It’s the perfect time of year to visit Kanuga,” says Rev. Michael Sullivan, Kanuga’s CEO, “We know that Easter traditions are special, and that enjoying the outdoors can be a big part of that. Kanuga chefs have prepared a wonderful brunch menu and we invite everyone to bring family and friends to break bread together.”
The brunch buffet features rosemary beef tenderloin, brown sugar and maple ham, spring frittata, fresh fruit, asparagus, salad bar, and more, topped off with homemade lemon bars and iced blueberry biscuits. Mimosas and Bloody Marys will be available as well. Guests may enjoy the meal in the dining room, at outside tables, or on the Rocking Chair Porch. “We encourage you to bring a blanket if you’d like to make it a picnic on the grounds,” says Kanuga Inn & Lodging general manager Ta’alolo Pa’u. “A great place to do that is on the grassy slope overlooking the lake,” he says.
The cost, which includes the buffet as well as access to the grounds for the day, is $49.00 per adult (13 and over), exclusive of alcohol; $21.00 per child (3-12); and free to guests 3 and under.
To make brunch reservations, call 828-692-9136 by April 3.
