New this year: walking tours of the Historic West Side. For the West Side Tours we meet at the Henderson County Library on Washington Street at 6:00 PM on Wednesday evenings.

The tours last approximately 90 minutes.

We encourage kids to wear their favorite Princess Dress or Pajamas and come get pampered by a princess, with glitter masks and manicures, princess makeovers and hair styling. We will aslo have Mother’s Day crafts and refreshements. Be sure to stop by the photobooths for Mommy and me pics with your little princess!
Join the Princesses out on the floor for storytelling, and songs . No pajama party is complete without a Pajama Dance Party! Our 2 princesses will teach your little a group dance. Get your cameras ready for these precious memories.

Kolo Bike Park is a mountain bike sampler pack designed for all rider levels. All the trails and features are designed to be progressive sessions. So there are multiple ways to ride them. This encourages developing riders to advance their skills in a controlled environment. Kolo has miles of single-track mountain bike trails that range from beginner-friendly to expert-only black diamond trails. There is something for everyone from tourists just passing through to truly skilled riders.

Dollywood and Abramorama in association with The Dollywood Foundation have partnered to release THE LIBRARY THAT DOLLY BUILT, a behind-the-scenes look at Dolly Parton’s literacy-focused non-profit, Imagination Library. The one-night event will be integrated with Imagination Library affiliate partners in multiple communities around the country and is set for screenings in over 325+ locations on Thursday, April 2, 2020. Dolly Parton created the Imagination Library to inspire a love for books and reading amongst the nation’s preschool children. Since inception in 1995, the Imagination Library has gifted more than 135 million books to children and is currently gifting books to 1.45 million children around the world each month. The Imagination Library affiliates screening the film will receive 50% of box office proceeds to further their year-round efforts.
Parents and caregivers with little ones in tow are always welcome in our galleries, but Baby & Me was created specifically with the drool crowd in mind. Each first Saturday, these 30–45-minute guided tours offer a way for adults to engage with art and each other while baby naps or coos; no reservations required. In this class Johnny (from Johnny’s Got Worms), will talk to the kids about worms and what they do, how our food is grown and what happens to it after it leaves our plates. There will be worms for the kids to play with and interactive demonstrations. He will have worms and “worm farms” available for purchase after the class.
About the Instructor
Johnny is the owner of the vermicomposting company, Johnny’s Got Worms. He has been composting for over 10 years, and loves sharing his enthusiasm and excitement about worms and composting. He teaches classes for children encouraging them to get their hands dirty to find ways to reduce food waste and take care of our soil.
