Fundraiser Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch on the Lawn of Grace Church is an Asheville icon. All proceeds benefit “Consider Haiti” that provides medical clinics, clean water and sustainable nutrition to rural Haiti.

Cheers to Children Sunday Funday to Support Programs for Children (all ages)

Every day in October, Ginger’s Revenge Craft Brewery & Tasting Room is donating $1 per pour of a featured beer to support programs for children ages birth to 5, their families, and teachers.

Our nonprofit partner is Buncombe Partnership for Children. Their mission is to strengthen the capacity of educators, families, and the community to build a strong foundation for children’s learning and development beginning at birth.

All ages are welcome for weekly “Sunday Funday” activities from 2:00-4:00!

OCTOBER 6TH: All Dolly’d Up … Children under age 5 can be registered to receive free books through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. While you’re here, take a selfie with “Dolly” and pose for a caricature from a former Dollywood portrait artist!

OCTOBER 13TH: Take Up the Slack: Cheers to Children …  test your balance on a suspended slackline with prizes for every age group.

OCTOBER 20TH: Paint the Town Red: Cheers to Children … add your personal touch to a mural at the brewery made with water paint and sidewalk chalk. Facepainting available onsite.

OCTOBER 27TH: Rocket Out: Cheers to Children … run, jump, and stomp to launch foam rockets 200 feet in the air! Add to the atmosphere by making bubbles with tools of all shapes and sizes.

International Observe the Moon Night

Saturday, October 5th, is International Observe the Moon Night! This is an annual worldwide public event that encourages observation and celebration of our planet’s moon. Celebrate on your own (just look up!) or join Astronomy Club of Asheville, who will have telescopes set up from 7:30 to 10 PM at two public locations: Pack Square in downtown Asheville (near AMOS!) and the Tanbark Ridge Overlook off the Blue Ridge Parkway: https://www.astroasheville.org/observe-the-moon-night/

Family Fun Fest

Is the rain threatening your family’s trick-or-treating plans this year? Join us for Family Fun Fest at the Asheville Mall! We’ve got fun activities and inflatables all set up under the cover of the parking garages where you and your kids can stay dry. Join us from 6 to 9 PM THIS Thursday, October 31. Bring the whole family for a night of fun activities, inflatables, and candy! Ride the trains, jump on the inflatables, climb the rock wall, try out the rodeo bull, challenge your friends on the ninja warrior obstacle course, find treasures in the gem mine, get your face painted, and so much more! Come and enjoy family-friendly entertainment throughout the night!

Monster Mask Making Workshop

Come enjoy a fall workshop full of family, fun, and artistic expression!

“Monster Mask Bash” is a shared clay experience for children and their guardians. In this special Halloween edition, we will learn how to sculpt art masks that can later be hung as a wall piece. Spending time in the studio strengthens and deepens relationships through teamwork and the fun of creating in true Halloween spirit! Spooky treats and healthy snacks will be provided. There will be a 45 minute break for lunch.

Not-So-Scary Halloween Pre Party at the Farm

School is out and the little munchkins can’t WAIT to wear their costumes. Come on down to the farm and celebrate a not-so-scary Halloween Pre-Party. Same day registration begins at 7.00 am. There will be a packet pick up on 10/25/2019 from 4-6 PM on the plaza on South Broad street – raining in the old hotel (use 23 S Broad St, Brevard, NC 28712) slightly up the road.

The course treats runners to a mix of historic homes, the railroad arts district, farm land and the scenic beauty of the Sylvan Valley and the surrounding mountains. The race course is a figure of eight – an out and back, with the starting line also serving as the finish line.
