Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through Sunday, May 27th through August 31st 1:30pm – FREE Family Friendly Summer Movie Series at Mountain Marquee in Marion. “With the switch to summer hours, we will begin showing a free “kid friendly” family film, every day that we’re open. This is part of a community outreach program that we have teamed up with a non-profit, to bring to the families in the community. The film will change every Friday. With the way that the license work with the non-profit, we cannot advertise the name of the kids movies on Facebook. However, we can clarify any questions you have by sending us a message, or giving us a call during business hours.”

May 15th through Sept 1st – Teen Summer Challenge at all area Planet Fitness locations (our closest is Planet Fitness). “Free fitness classes specifically for teenagers will also be available Monday through Friday via certified fitness trainers. The nationwide launch of the Teen Summer Challenge builds on a successful local program first launched last summer in New Hampshire, Planet Fitness’ home state. It’s duck derby racing season on the farm. Buy your duck (@ the front office) and train him or her to race down Jonathan Creek. Starting point is in Eagle Park, finish line is at Bear Park. Cash Prizes Awarded! Hurry in and get your little Quackers their lives depend on YOU!

Is your car, bike, truck or SUV your pride and joy?! Shine it up and show it off at Asheville Outlets. The center is hosting monthly Cruise ‘In events in the parking lot from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on select Sundays April through November. The Cruise ‘In events are free for all vehicle owners and spectators.
This Memorial Day, usher in the unofficial start of summer at Point Lookout Vineyards. Enjoy the day relaxing, sipping wine and enjoying our 30 mile views. We will have music by RedLeg Husky and food by Mountain View BBQ food truck. Music starts at 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm and food from Noon until 6:00.
Let’s not forget the true meaning of the day and raise a glass to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
Make a lantern for Xpand Fest! Come to the puppet clubhouse and have fun with paste and paper. Materials provided (except for the light and the pole). All ages welcome but littles are going to need adult help.

Xpand Fest is having the 2nd Annual Lantern parade at twilight on June 8, as part of their all day music and art festival. BYOL or buy one there OR make one at the workshop.
June 8 – Meet in front of Zapow Gallery at 7:30 pm to participate.
During this class, children get the opportunity to exercise, play, and connect more deeply with the inner self and develop a relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Benefits can include flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness can improve. Yoga brings that inner light to the surface that all children have. Parents are welcome to drop off, watch or participate, whatever makes your child feel comfortable and supported.
This class will be weekly on Saturday’s from 10:30am-11:30am. However, the month of May 20 – June 20, 2019 is free so come give it a try!
