Easter Egg Hunt at the Farm

Get ready for the 2019 Easter Egg Hunt at Hickory Nut Gap Farm on Sunday, April 21st! The hunt will be divided into two groups at two times, one for younger children and one for older children. Please bring a basket for your child if they are participating in the hunt. We’ll be playing games and soaking in the Spring weather. Egg decorating and coloring station will be set up at tables.

Easter Brunch Service: 10am-4pm.

1st Egg Hunt for kids 5 and under: 12pm-12:30
Pass the Bunny game: 1:00pm
2nd Egg Hunt for kids 6 and up: 1:45pm-2:45pm
3:00pm Jelly Bean Game Best Guessers awarded

***Love the surprise of plastic eggs you can hide treasure in, but hate the waste? We are a plastic egg donation site! If you have old plastic easter eggs, big or little and you want to have them re-used before they are re-cycled, bring them by the Farm Store in the month of April and we will use them year after year. If you want to take the goodies out of the eggs you collect at the event and leave the plastic behind, drop your eggs in the receptacle provided.***

P.A.L.S. Program

Now at the Asheville Mall is our P.A.L.S. Program …
During Open Gym time at the mall we are offering an hour for you and your little one to make NEW friends. EVERYDAY from 12:30p-1:30p will be a different age group that you will look forward to… ALL ages are still welcomed during this time, this is just an opportunity for parents with kids looking to make new friends with kids their child’s age.

Monday Fun Day for Homeschooled kids

One year old Wednesdays
Three year old Thursdays
Four and Five year old Fridays

Ballet Hispánico

Playground Building Day (15+yrs)

We are updating our Brevard playground with a focus on natural play and engaged cooperative pretend play. We need a group of 8-10 volunteers (ages 15+) who can help us install a new sandbox, mud kitchen, balance beams, and bouldering wall. Email keliirabbitkrueger@gmail.com for more information

Event starts at 1:00 pm will egg dying
2:00 pm – Ages 3 and under
2:20 pm – Ages 4 – 6
2:40 pm – Ages 7 – 9
3:00 pm – Ages 10 – 12
3:30 pm – Special Needs (all ages)
4:00pm (Noon) – Grand Prize

WEATHER Permitting- Rain Reschedule date will be announced.

Animals are allowed as long as they are okay with being around other people and animals.

Spring 2019 Clothing Swap

It’s time, once again, for our community clothing swap! This is a chance to clothe your family for FREE! Bring what you can, and take what you need! We accept and organize clothing for all genders and sizes, as well as shoes, accessories, and small household goods.You can bring your donations to the library when you come to the swap or contact us in the coming weeks to make pickup arrangements. Please DO NOT take clothing to the library before the swap! We did not get a lot of spring and summer items at the last swap to carry over to this one… so find as many clothes as you can to bring. Ask your friends, family, and neighbors for donations. Thank you! See you all there!

Seeds and Sprouts Kids had its first event in April 2018 with a strong community response that has led to the sale more than doubling in size in just four events. Their Spring/Summer event from March 13th-15th, 2020, will undoubtedly be the largest yet with consignors, shoppers, and team members traveling in from across the WNC area, eager to participate again and see how much it’s grown since the Fall.
