Jamming at the Museum: Front Porch Old-Time Jam and Lawn Party
Friends! It’s been awhile, but we’re doing it again! Join us from 1:00-3:00 on Saturday, November 3rd, at the Smith-McDowell House for our next open old-time jam and lawn party. This jam is open to all skill levels and instruments typically found at old-time jams (fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, lap dulcimer, autoharp, harmonica, hammered dulcimer, cello, and ukulele among others). Dancers are welcome, too. Come play, dance, or just listen. As you head this way for the old-time jam, bring along your lunch and join us on the lawn for a picnic. We will have drinks and snacks for $1 and our front porch jam will feature great southern mountain music. Bring your blankets, food, friends, and family for a lovely weekend treat. If the weather is cold or wet, we will party in the parlor! There will be no admission fee for the Museum that afternoon. Y’all come!
