Stage Production: Asheville Christmas Show

Friday & Saturday, Dec. 6th & 7th, 2019

Celebrate the magic of the Christmas season with an evening of live music, dance, and comedy! This family-friendly, Broadway-style show features the finest performers from the Asheville area and Western North Carolina and special guest artists. Directed by musical theatre veteran and funnyman Mario Morin, and choreographed by former Radio City Rockette Lucinda Morin, this professional production presents Christmas favorites including Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, O Holy Night, Feliz Navidad, and Go Tell it On the Mountain. Relax, unplug, and take time to share the joy, laughter, and peace of the season with your friends, neighbors, and families at the Carolina Christmas Show!

Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, hurricane Flo is on her way!!!

We don’t want to be at home alone during the torrential downpour – do you? Bring the family, wear your Hawaiian shirts, and bring lots of board games and flashlights – we’re doing this thing right!

Snacks, games, and cozy vibes welcome – let’s make the most of a big scary storm and hang with friends while we watch our poor little town get battered again this year!

TheatreUNCA Presents: War of the Worlds – The 1938 Radio Script

In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the radio broadcast of War of the Worlds – Orson Welles’ dramatization of the H.G. Wells novel – TheatreUNCA will bring the drama to the stage, with shows Sept. 28 and 29 at 7:30 p.m., and a special midnight show on Sept. 29, all in Belk Theatre.

General admission tickets to TheatreUNCA performances are $12; students and OLLI members, $7; and faculty and seniors, $10. Tickets are available at the door and online. When ordering tickets for the midnight show, use the September 30 selection.

Woodfin Greenway & Blueway – Catch The Wave Celebration

On October 3rd, join event co-hosts – Asheville Greenworks, Connect Buncombe, French Broad River Academy, French Broad Riverkeeper/MountainTrue, and Riverlink to celebrate great progress to date, to learn more about the project, and to gather with friends. The project design team will be on hand with presentations and to gather your input.

Complementary snacks, soft drinks, and beer provided.

Awesome RAFFLE for a Dagger RPM whitewater kayak, a fishing kayak by Native Watercraft/LiquidLogic, a standup paddleboard from Southern Raft Supply, and other great items to be announced.

We’re planning for an outdoor event in beautiful fall weather, but there is plenty of indoor space on-site just in case….

Kid’s Halloween Party!

Celebrate Halloween early by joining us for our Kid’s Halloween Party! We will have a balloon artist in store to make custom designed balloons for kids. There will also be tons of kid friendly activities such as Spider Races, a Mystery Box, Paper Plate Pumpkin Design Station, and a Water Gun Target Game. Don’t forget to grab some candy and a free kid’s meal!*

*Free kid’s meal for children 10yrs old or below. Must purchase adult meal, limit one free kid’s meal per adult meal.

Children’s Yoga (3-8yrs)

Saturdays, 11:30am-12:45pm

Come play Yoga!

Our fun Saturday morning classes for Ages 3-8 include 45 minutes of Yoga, as well as time for craft and free play.

Children will be encouraged to imagine “traveling to the farm”, “going on nature walks” and participate in other themed classes. They will enjoy individual and group poses for connection, a sense of purpose, balance, self-love and FUN.

This is a drop-off class. Parents may stay at the studio in our small Quiet Room, or go play in town! Polly (and the studio) are licensed and insured.
