The Literacy Café could be rolling through your neck of the woods ready to serve bodies and minds to McDowell County children.
Any person 18 years or under will receive a free lunch aboard the Literacy Café. Lunch service begins the week of July 9 and lasts through August 2.

Stellar Classification with Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute: Teens in rising grades 6-12 can come explore how astronomers study stars using classifications based on spectra of acutal stars.

Would you like to be a part of a writing group at the library? Join us for creative writing exercises, to meet other writers, and to help shape a writer’s community at our library. Learn how to make a LEGO animation! Participants will sign up for a 20min time slot between 12:30-3pm and 4-6pm. Kids will be guided through the process of animating a walk cycle using a LEGO person.
