A Hometown Fair

Remember those old-timey Hometown Fairs with kissing booths, dunk tanks, face painting, and cake walks? We’re bringing one to you on June 28th (5-8pm) at Southern Appalachian Brewery. “A Hometown Fair” will be a benefit for Meals on Wheels, making sure our older adults are well fed and taken care of. There will be fun for all ages! Local celebrities will be in our Kissing Booth, Advice Booth, and the Dunk Tank! And there’s more! We’ll have a Kids Activity Zone, WNC Rock Painting table, face painting, cake walk, and a pie eating contest! Tickets for adults include a bratwurst plate with two sides and a roll from Haus Heidelberg along with a ticket for a Hometown Fair featured beer or non-alcoholic beverage of your choice. Kid tickets include a hotdog plate with chips and a drink. Come together with your community to support older adults and have some old-timey fun at the same time!

Memorial Day Weekend Festivities

Memorial Day Weekend Festivities

As a veteran owned business we want to honor and celebrate our fallen heroes. Make plans to be in community with us this weekend as we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and welcome the unofficial start of summer.

Friday Beer Release!
We’re releasing our Lake James Summer Ale. This light refreshing ale has been dry hopped with motueka hops giving it a bright citrusy finish perfect for those summer lake days.
Remember our Brown Drive Brown? We didn’t tell you but we stashed 15 gallons away in whiskey barrels four months ago. It’s kegged and ready for your enjoyment. This barrel aged sweet potato brown comes in at 9.2% and it’s delicious. This one won’t be on the board for long!
Lastly we located a keg of the ever popular, hard to find ciderboys peach county cider. We all know this one will disappear quick.

Saturday Home Brew Demo
We’ll be brewing a ten gallon batch starting at 1pm. It’s about a four hour process so stop by anytime to watch, learn, or join in the fun! This is a great event for homebrewers to network (we know you’re out there!) it’s also a time for folks who just want to see the brew process in action.

Sunday Community Grill Out and Potluck 5pm
We’re extending our Sunday hours until 9pm. Weather permitting we’ll have a grill and coals lit and ready for you to grill your own tasty items starting at 5pm. Pack a picnic for you and friends or bring a dish to share. We’ll take care of plates, napkins, utensils, and we’ll have plenty of refreshing beverages for purchase. The bar will be setup on the deck to best enjoy the summer weather.

*all outdoor events are weather permitting*
