Combining elements we love— Our mountains, food, our games and (of course) our comic books!
Pack a picnic, bring your books/games and adventure with us! We will choose a pretty spot along the trail to enjoy some fresh mountain air and a bit of vitamin D while reading and playing video games.

You are welcome to meet up at Haywood Comics beforehand and we’ll sort out details such as potential car pooling, etc. We will be departing from there to head over to Black Balsam at 10:30am and will be headed back to our comic shop at 3:15pm.

**The hike is 1.4 miles and rated both moderately easy and dog friendly (on leash)**

Blackberry Release Party

Join Bold Rock Mills River for the Blackberry Release Party! Be one of the first to enjoy our summer seasonal on tap or grab a case or 6-pack to go! The party lasts all day, but live music begins at 6:30. Stay tuned for more updates!

June 2nd 10:00am-12:00pm – Summer Library Festival with Buncombe County Government at Oakley Park. “School’s (almost) out for summer, but the library is open and ready to rock your reading list. No need for a backstage pass, just get the band together so you can enjoy the following Summer Library Festival greatest hits:

• Concert by Girls Rock Asheville.

• Construction vehicles from NCDOT.

• Cool rock exhibit from the Asheville Museum of Science.

• Arts and crafts featuring your chance to make kazoos and harmonicas.

• Relay races, boulder toss, bubbles, chalk drawings, and other awesome games.

• Selfie booth with cool props for you and your bandmates.

• Get your picture made into a poster for a Countywide Library campaign.

Third Anniversary Party!

You’re invited to celebrate three wonderful years of curry and beer and all things local with us! We have such a special day planned, and we hope you can make it and bring some friends, too.

CHARITY
In the Asheville community, it just makes sense to give back when we can, so we’re making this event a fundraiser for ASAP, the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project. 10% of the day’s sales will be donated, as well as the money raised from the raffle. FOOD
We’ll be offering a special appetizer and entree utilizing local, seasonal prduce for the event, and we’re sure you’ll want a taste of them both.

DRINK
We’re lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing breweries, and we can’t wait to share these special collaborations with you. We’ll have two from Pisgah: a Coconut Curry Tripel and a Thai Lemongrass Pilsner, a Plum and Shiso Cider from Urban Orchard, a Lychee and Bourbon Vanilla Ginger Beer from Ginger’s Revenge, and a Dragon Fruit and Haw Creek Honey Kettle Sour from Bhramari. You’ll want to try them all.

RAFFLE
Our local favorites have put together an amazing list of prizes that can be won through our raffle. We’ll be giving away a free massage from Just Relax, a free food tour from Asheville Food Tours, and the grand prize is a gift card pack to local stores that sell ASAP products.

MUSIC
The Stevie Lee Combs Ensemble will be gracing us with live music starting at noon, so bring your toe tappin’ feet!

iHeartMedia Asheville presents the Bites & Brews Food Truck Festival! Enjoy the local food truck scene, craft brews, and local music that will grace the entertainment stage over the course of the day for a fun, family-friendly atmosphere! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Eblen Foundation. Bites & Brews will be at Asheville Outlets next to Field & Stream!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Children 5 and under are free with a ticketed adult. Children 6 and over require a ticket.

What can I bring into the event?

We will have seating available, but feel free to bring lawn chairs, as well! No outside food or drink, please.

What’s the refund policy?

No refunds will be given.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes.

Can I bring my dog?

Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome.

What if it rains?
