Imagine spending your day with one of Mother Nature’s most majestic and funny creatures—the llama. From 11 am – 3 pm, Annual Passholders are invited on a llama adventure like no other. Try your hand at fashion during the llama hat making contest. After you’ve created the perfect head adornment, test your reflexes and speed with llama limbo and a llama relay! At the end of the day, passholders will be treated to a hike to Hickory Nut Falls with several llamas, where they’ll enjoy lunch.

We will be doing a family movie night to benefit Sleep Tight Kids! Only $15 per family, and all proceeds will go to this amazing organization who provides sleep time comfort items to kiddos in need across Western North Carolina! We will be watching Hotel Transylvania and there will be snacks available! Feel free to bring your own snacks or food as well! We will start the movie around 6:00, so come join us for an evening full of fun!

ZaPow’s first open juried show invites artists to create work inspired by their favorite toys. Whether it’s tin Robots and Ray Guns to shiny plastic He-man, She-Ra or more recent Pokemon, we can’t wait to see what you create.
“Tin to Plastic” is open to artists currently living in the United States, ages 19 and above, of all backgrounds and experiences.
After the submission deadline, a selection of artworks will be chosen to be exhibited in Tin to Plastic; The Toys That Made Us, a group show highlighting the finalists, opening on Saturday, July 14th, 2018. Opening Reception: Saturday, July 14th, 7-9pm What: Free Beer * Music * Show Runs July 14th – August 25th, 2018 Entry Requirements: All submitted artworks must be for sale (priced at a reasonable market rate) and available to be exhibited at ZaPow from July 14th – August 25th, 2018.
Upon the sale of an artwork, ZaPow will earn a commission of fifty percent (50%) of the net proceeds from the sale. (Current member artists will keep their usual 83%) Please **Size limit: Paintings – 3 x 4 feet; Sculptures – 3 x 3
Entrance Fee: Free for ZaPow Member Artists, $35 for 3 submissions for general public ($10 for each additional submission)
