It’s that time of year again! Our annual Fall Festival is coming up! We will have free food, games and hay rides as well as sharing the gospel! Everything is free so please come out and enjoy the day with Beaverdam Baptist Church!

FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENTS
Family-friendly events are offered during the year in conjunction with the Museum’s Collection, exhibitions, First Friday Art Walk and other special events. Activities may include guided tours, a hands-on studio project for children and adults, and refreshments. Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Party
Join Aloft and Charlie’s Angels for a howling good time at our Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Party on Sunday, October 20! From 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., party with your pooches and compete in our costume contests to win fun prizes. Lounge around w xyz Bar for drink specials and tasty treats for humans and dogs alike.
Does your pup have what it takes to strut their stuff? Check-in for the dog parade and costume contest begins at 4:30 p.m. followed by the parade and costume contest at 5:00 p.m. Furry friends can be registered based on small, medium or large breeds and the top three winners will receive a prize! All dogs who enter the contest will receive a treat and owners will receive a $5 voucher to w xyz Bar.
Are you and your pup a package deal? Enter in our dog and family costume contest for the change to take home the first-place prize! Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. and the contest will begin at 6:00 p.m.

‘Dinner Under Dinos’ Parents Night Out Program (5-12yrs)
This fun-filled night includes cheese pizza from a local vendor, free exhibit play, scavenger hunts for special prizes, and an optional kid-friendly movie. Parent drop-off begins at 5:30 with a pickup time between 8:30-9:00, plenty of time for you to enjoy a meal and get in a little shopping!
Dinner Under Dinos is for children 5+. All children must be able to go to the bathroom independently. Children may also bring a cozy blanket, water bottle, snacks or an alternative meal. For more info contact edu@ashevillescience.org.
Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm (Child(ren) must be picked up no later than 9:00pm; late fees apply after 9:00)
Age: 5+ * All children must be able to use the restroom independently to participate.

All Hallow’s Read Celebration
All Hallow’s Read is a tradition founded by Neil Gaiman which invites us to give away scary books in addition to candy. Join us for a day of special All Hallows Eve themed events!
4:00pm -5:00pm : A kids costume event with a scary story reading, special prizes and giveaways! The cafe will be serving candy corn hot chocolate and cupcakes.
7:00pm -8:00pm: All Hallow’s Read Literary karaoke. Adults and young adults are invited to come share their favorite spooky, haunted, creepy, or scary passage. Costumes are strongly encouraged and candy corn mocha lattes will be on the menu for one night only!

Haunted Playhouse TRICK or TREAT
Since Halloween falls on a school night, I have decided to set up a Trick or Treat Friday 27th, Saturday 28th, Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st. I will be set up starting at 7pm and will stop giving out treats by 10pm each night. I will have allergy free/non-food options available upon request. Even if you don’t plan on trick-or-treating, drive by and see the Haunted Playhouse.
