Sylva Family Campout

We are camping out on Bridge Park! Join us for this FREE event. Try camping with your kids! We will have popcorn, a movie, fire pit, singing, facepaining and lots of interactive camping learning and activities from local Sylva experts. Need a tent or Sleeping Bags? No problem. We can get some for you to borrow.

Warren Wilson College Plow Day

An event celebrating agriculture and tradition! The day will showcase draft power, as teamsters from the surrounding areas will join the Warren Wilson College Horse Crew in plowing a farm field. This family friendly event will have a little something for everyone. There will be cider pressing, cake walks, kids games/activities, craft demonstrations, local vendors & more!

Admission is $3 at the door. Kids 5 & under are free. Warren Wilson students, faculty, and staff will also gain free entry. This event will take place in Sawmill field.

Our Voice RIVER RIDE

River trips start at 10AM

A family-friendly event and festival to raise awareness around the issue of sexual violence in our community, and to rally in support of safe spaces everywhere: whether hiking, climbing, biking or floating down the river.

French Broad Outfitters will be providing 50% off float trips down the Biltmore section of the French Broad, while hosting the afternoon festival featuring live music by The Soul Magnetics, delicious food from Deli Llammma food truck, a raffle, hammocks for relaxing, river views, and locally-crafted brews.

We will highlight Our VOICE’s outdoor adventure and prevention programming for middle school studentsi n Buncombe County, including Climbing Toward Confidence (an after-school rock climbing program for girls) and Backpacking Brothers (a five-day wilderness and camping adventure for boys), promoting respect, healthy boundaries, personal confidence and leadership. Pop-Up Adventure Playground

Join us for our last pop-up adventure playground of the summer, sponsored by Buncombe Partnership for Children and Buncombe County Parks and Recreation. This is a free, unstructured play event suitable for children ages 0-12 and their families. Using recycled and natural materials, children will invent, play, discover, and create their own imaginary worlds. This will be a special end-of-summer event, followed by an outdoor movie screening of Up and an overnight camp out.

Apple Festival 8K, Chamber Challenge 5K, Mini Moo Mile

The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce presents the Pardee Apple Festival 8K Road Race on Saturday, September 1st, 2018. This certified course winds through scenic Hendersonville and Laurel Park, starting and ending at the Pardee Medical Office Building, on the hospital’s main campus in Hendersonville. The race begins promptly at 8 am.

The Chick-Fil-A Mini Moo Mile is a one-mile fun run/walk for the young or young at heart and will start a few minutes after the 8K race begins.
Get your business team ready to participate in the Chamber Challenge 5K! Pardee Hospital wants to motivate and inspire companies and their employees to improve wellness by joining us for this fun-filled 5 K challenge. Design to promote health, wellness and fitness among area companies and their employees, the Chamber Challenge 5K is a perfect way to have fun while working towards a goal together. Prizes will be awarded for the fasted team, most teams from a business, best team costumes and the coveted “Team Spirit” trophy.
