WNC Pride Community Celebration Day

What a better place to salvage our Pride after a difficult year for the community. Join us at the Salvage Station for a family-friendly afternoon by the river as we enjoy a little local entertainment for a relaxing summer afternoon. June 24, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Early parking is available for groups wanting to bicycle,paddle,float,run to the Party. The entertainment will begin at 3:30 pm. We will host a brief presentation and discussion at 2:15 pm, About the future of Blue Ridge Pride and the Festival in September, We have been giving it a lot of thought, Now we’d like to know what You think, “Comming Together with Pride for a Purpose”

Summer GROW Program 2017

Trinity of Fairview Summer GROW is a great option for your child to participate in. Your child will participate in a summer long service project, learn in engaging curriculum classes (Science, Math and Music), take fun weekly field trips that are related to our theme and go swimming. They will participate in Computer Pals, enjoy a weekly Bible study and make new friends to share all of their memories with.
Summer Grow runs Monday-Friday, 7:15-5:30 pm from June 12- August 18 (tentative dates based on school schedule).

Our Mission

The Summer Grow exists as a safe Christian environment for children to have an exciting summer. We desire for children to grow their faith, grow their friendships and grow their mind.
We strive to share Jesus with each family through our interactions and through the program events.
Excellent Staff
All of our counselors are prepared to encourage, teach and help each child. Staff members contribute their unique talents to our program. The director and all of the staff members are committed to making the summer meaningful for each child through our safe environment. All staff are CPR and First Aid certified.
Tuition
The weekly tuition covers all field trips and other special parts of the program. Tuition may be paid on a weekly basis or in advance. Weekly tuition must be paid prior to the beginning of the week.
– 5 day option $140 (sibling $110)
– 3 day option $100 (sibling $90)

Fish Hatchery
Lake Lure Beach and Water Park
Greenville Zoo
AMOS (Asheville Museum of Science)

Lunch and Snacks

 All children should pack a lunch, water bottle and two snacks each day. There will also be a Snack Cart available for children to purchase snacks.

Weekly Schedule

The weekly schedule will be provided to families at the beginning of summer and posted on the bulletin board in our entryway.

Single Mom Day

Hi Mom!
Single Moms! YOU need a break! Tell me about it… you say! OK we will!!

Soooo Mom, come to MOMCare on Saturday, June 3rd anytime between 9:00 A.M. – Noon and let us pamper, renew and encourage you.

How? We want to do the following FREE OF CHARGE:

  • Check out your car by checking air pressure in the tires, check all your fluid levels and top off what is low.
  • Wash and vacuum the car.
  • Brunch items to munch
  • Hair stylists to trim your hair (limited to first 12)

    (wash your hair before coming so stylists can trim you properly)

  • Gently used summer clothes for Moms and Kids in all sizes.
  • Bring the kids and play on the Bouncy House
  • Treat Bags for the kids
    You have a hard job so let us provide a little break for you and keep your car going too!

‘Camp Out’ Vacation Bible School

June 15th-18th

At Camp out VBS, kids trek through the ultimate (virtual)outdoor adventure- minus the bug spray and lack of sleep! All while making new friends and discovering that Jesus is the light of the world!

Special Activities for the entire family:
Hot dog supper following normal activities on June 17th.
The kids will be putting on a special concert during Sunday service on June 18th! We invite everyone to bring the whole family to watch and cheer them on!

Vacation Bible SCHOOL (4yrs-5th Grade) & VBS Summer CAMP

  • VBS for ages 4 through 5th grade (completed)
  • Must turn 4 before July 10. VBS hours from 9:00 am – noon
  • NO COST to attend the 4-day VBS program from 9:00 am – noon
  • VBS Day CAMP hours from noon – 4:30 pm
  • Cost is $100 per child. For children who have completed 1st grade through 5th grade (completed)
  • Day camp participants must attend VBS in the morning to participate in the afternoon
  • Day Camp is limited to 25 participants

 

  • VBS Camp includes July 10 -13 for VBS (9am – noon)
  • Camp begins after VBS at noon and goes until 4:30pm each day
  • Camp Attendees ONLY will also have camp on Friday, July 14 from 9am – 4:30pm
  • Cost is $100 for the week which includes meals, snacks and the cost for all activities.
  • Camp is for children who have completed 1st grade through completed 5th grade.
  • Camp is limited to the first 25 children who register and pay a $25 deposit.
  • Registration deadline is June 30, 2017.
  • Full payment is due by June 30, 2017.
  • Please make checks payable to CUMC. In the Memo section please write “VBS 2017 Camp”.

Leave No Trace Program: The Principles of Wilderness Ethics

Hannah Redmon and Jim Taylor with Mast General Store will lead this program on the seven basic principles of the “leave no trace” philosophy. Participants will also learn handy safety tips.
