Girls Rock Asheville Summer Camp

Camp this year will be June 19-24 at Carolina Day School with the showcase on Saturday, June 25 at the Orange Peel. Campers are selected by a committee that seeks to establish a varied and balanced camp population in relation to instrument groups, age, racial and ethnic identity, economic status, geography/community, and experience. This means that campers are NOT selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.  We wish we could accept everyone who applies, but we simply don’t have enough volunteers available to do this.

We hold multiple rounds of application review in an effort to help families plan their summers and still extend the opportunity to as many young people as possible. We will notify applicants by the middle of March.  We expect to receive more applications than we have camper spots, so we may not be able to accept everyone who applies, but we will create a wait list and we know from past experience that some campers will likely drop out and some of the wait-listed campers will be accepted.

This year we are accepting 40 campers total to provide a better experience for both campers and staff.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

We’re excited to be planning a great camp experience and look forward to hearing from you.
