Teen Water Outdoor Adventure Camp

This three day camp is perfect for campers who like to spend their summer splashing around. Activi- ties may include tubing, snorkeling, paddling, hiking to waterfalls and whitewater rafting on the Pigeon River (Class II-IV). Campers must bring lunch and water daily. 20 campers maximum per session. 11-14 year olds.

Session 1: July 5-7, 9am-5pm

Session 2: July 24-26, 9am-5pm

 

Fee includes all equipment, instruction, and transportation.

Adventure Camp (8-12yrs)

This 5 day camp includes hiking, swimming, rafting, tubing, games, environmental education and camping. Camp runs 9am-5pm Monday-Wednesday with an overnight campout Thursday night. Pick up will be noon on Friday. Campers must bring lunch & water each day, and provide their own sleeping bag/ pad for the campout. Camps will form into two groups for age based activities – ages 8-10 and 10-12. For 10 year olds, please indicate preferred age group. 24 campers maximum per session.

8-12 year olds.

Session 1: June 12-16

Session 2: July 17-21
Fee includes all equipment, instruc- tion, meals while camping, and transportation.

Kidventure Outdoor Adventure Camp (9-11yrs)

This four day camp has an outdoor living skills focus. Activities include hiking, geocaching, shelter and fire building, raft making, fishing, swimming, archery, climbing wall and an inflatable kayak trip. Campers had so much fun last year that we added another day! Campers must bring lunch and wa- ter daily. 24 campers maximum per session.

 

Session 1: August 1-4, 9am-5pm.

Eco Explorers Outdoor Adventure Camp (6-8yrs)

A three day camp focused on ex- ploration and fun outdoors! Activi- ties include hiking, stream investi- gation, animal visits, climbing wall and a field trip to Grandfather Mountain. Campers must bring lunch and water daily. 12 campers maximum per session.

Session 1: June 19-21
Session 2: June 26-28

Sing Out ! Community Jam

Campy jamboree sing-play-along. Bring a heavy snack to share. love donation, si vous plaît. $3+ for indies, $5+ for families.
Great opportunity for budding musicians to experience the joy of making music in community. Low pressure, fun.
Mostly 3 chord songs with a few for more advanced players. Will have some percussion options for littles to play.

Tiny Scientist Toddler Summer Day Camp (5yrs & under)

Science Rocks! Join us each week to experience hands on science activities for you and your toddler. Fun will include making waves in a bottle, flubber, salt painting and much more.

Wednesdays, 11am-Noon.

 

Session 1: June 14, 21, 28, July 5

Session 2: July 19, 26, August 2, 9
Fee: $20. City of Asheville residents receive a $5 discount.

Close out the summer with us! The fun will include games, crafts, cultural arts and a field trip. Camps will be at Montford, Shiloh, and Stephens-Lee Recreation Centers. For rising 1st to 5th graders.

Fundamental Engineering Camp (8-12yrs)

Learn the basics of engineering through hands on, interactive pro- jects and activities. Work alongside local engineers to develop proto- types and complete engineering challenges throughout the week. Participants will gain a fundamental understanding of engineering while exploring different specialties as they design, build, test and redesign their creations. Camp will be at the Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside Center.

July 10-July 14, 9am-5pm.
Early drop-off available between 8:30-9am for an additional $10
$25 for youth enrolled in Parks and Recreation afterschool programs, Summer Playground Program or Outdoor Camp Program.
