2023 Tunnel to Towers 5K Run/Walk – ASHEVILLE

Among the promises made by Americans after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, was to pay homage to those who perished, and to never allow the heroism and resilience displayed by Americans in the aftermath to be forgotten.

The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. #avl#yellowtruck Asheville Fire Department #T2TRun

Tiny Tots Roller Skating

With brighter lights and more kid-friendly music, this event is aimed at families with younger families so that they can have a special time to learn how to skate. Althought it’s intended for ages 5 and under, parents feel free to bring your older siblings, too!

Parents, come and enjoy these “freedoms” not typically permitted at the rink:

-BRING IN YOUR OWN BREAKFAST. Sit in our concessions area and enjoy your breakfast and maybe even our FREE WIFI as the kids are skating.

-WALK AROUND ON THE RINK (in socks) while assisting your little ones.

-USE OUR SKATE MATES FOR FREE so your beginning skaters can have something else to hold onto (besides your hand or the wall).

Having a family of our own with 5 kids, we know how hard it is to find an affordable, indoor place (from out of the rain), to allow your little ones to exercise and have fun. Besides, we might just be there and join you, as well, with our newborn twins! Remember, strollers are welcome, too!
