Buncombe County Special Olympics Bocce athletes will be at the Pack Memorial Library on Saturday, July 30th. Come meet local Olympiads and learn the game of Bocce. Bocce is a sport that is suitable for all ages and skill level, and can be adaptive to your mobility. Learn from the experts while making new friends. The event will be held in the Lord Auditorium of the Pack Memorial Library from 10:30am-12pm.

It wouldn’t be summer in the mountains without drama camp at Parkway Playhouse! This year PPHJr. students will spend two weeks singing, acting, and dancing the day away as they prepare “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” Won’t you be our guest as we transport our audience to a time of magic mirrors and enchantment?! The camp culminates with two performances of the production Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Kids In Motion (7-12yrs)
Enhance your summer at the Hendersonville Y with Kids In Motion. Kids In Motion is a FREE program for kids ages 7-12. Join us Monday-Friday from 2:45-4:45pm for fun, exercise and games.
We currently plan to run Kids In Motion Monday-Friday for July and August. We hope to run Kids in Motion throughout the year, but days and times may vary.

Hi all, this is Molly Angel, artist, potter, and teacher. I am again offering week-long classes this summer at my home studio off Airport Road near the Ag Center.

Vacation Bible School (4-12yrs)

Light meal at 5:30pm
The program portion is from 6-8 PM which is preceded by a meal for the kids at 5:30 PM. Come a few minutes early Monday for FREE registration. Our Bible School welcomes children ages 4 thru 12 years old.

Appalachian Heritage Festival
Nearly 50 live demonstrations will be showcased and will feature the essence of life in Appalachia. You’ll see quilters, wood carvers, canoe builders and even a live, working gem mining flume.
Many other events are planned including a firetruck display and face painting for the kids, Plus music from guitar to dulcimer, banjo to flute and even piano.
There will also be a checker tournament at the Macon County Historical Museum. That is sure to be a blast from the past.
