Ring the Bell: It’s the Back 2 School Bash

All scholars, superstars, and school supply ninjas, get ready to SLAM DUNK the summer blues at a jam-packed day of FUN to blast you into the new school year with a smile!

Here’s what awaits:

  • ♟️ Epic Activities: Games galore and enough entertainment to keep your awesomeness meter maxed out
  • 🌭 Fuel Up for Learning: Food and yummy treats to power your brain for straight As
  • 🎶 Musical Mayhem: Move and groove to awesome tunes that’ll have you dancing like nobody’s watching
  • ✏️ School Supply Stampede: Stock up on notebooks, pencils, and all the essentials to conquer that classroom (Available on a first-come, first-served basis)

Bluegrass & Brews

Bluegrass & Brews will return to the grassy area on the corner of Eagle & Market Street on Saturday, June 14th from 2-5pm for a {free} fun afternoon of bluegrass music and sips from Archetype Brewing + Twin Leaf Brewery! Don’t forget your blanket or lawn chair!

Band Lineup:

  • 2pm – Bear Creek String Bandits
  • 3pm – Cast Iron Bluegrass
  • 4pm – Blue Ridge Tradition

 

Community Care Day

This is an event for the whole family!! We are going to have

👉 FREE fresh produce donated to us by Mother Earth and non perishable items!

👉  FREE menstrual products donated to us by Project Dignity of WNC

👉  The SPARC Network, LLC will be there to share coping skills

👉  LEAF Global Arts will be bringing the vibes with their drums

👉  Wnc Unete will be there offering their resources to the community

👉 We will be signing people up for the healthy opportunities pilot program that uses Medicaid dollars to pay for services related to transportation,nutrition,housing and interpersonal safety!

👉 We will have fun activities for the whole family to play like soccer, football, journal writing and yoga!

Farmers Market of Lake Lure

The Chamber of Hickory Nut Gorge is happy to announce that we are again partnering with Rutherford BARN to bring the Farmer’s Market to Lake Lure!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • WHEN: The market will be open May 3rd – October 25th, 2024
  • TIME: Market days are Fridays, from 4-7pm
  • LOCATION! Morse Park
  • VENDORS: Local farmers and hand-craft artisans ONLY
  • EXTRA aLUREing: Each week, we will feature Live Entertainment and a Food Truck

Annual Riverfest!

On June 21, you can find us and 30 other local organizations educating, entertaining, and raising awareness about the French Broad River! This free, family-friendly community event will feature games, food trucks, live music, and so much more!

Mom’s Day Out – A Day of Celebration

Come celebrate your mom or a special lady who has influenced you on May 14th from12pm-2:30pm.

We will have live music from the A-Band, catering from Daddy Macs, a special guest and prizes.

If you are an expert at baking we will have a pound cake contest with a $500 grand prize.

This is a FREE event.

Drive In Bingo

Bring your lucky numbers b4 it’s to l8te!

Come honk your horns and bring a friend to Drive-In BINGO at Linwood Crump Shiloh Center from 2pm -4pm. Enjoy playing your favorite game from the comfort of your car! Winners will receive prizes and refreshments will be served!

Fan Fest + Opening Day

FREE TO ATTEND

Our much anticipated Fan Fest is BACK and it’s happening at East Henderson High School. Our Opening Day game follows at 2:30pm, when the Honeycrisps take on Athletes Lab.

From food trucks to exciting kids’ activities, and the opportunity to meet and greet Honeycrisps players – it’s going to be a fun time for the whole family.

Admission to Fan Fest is FREE but make sure to secure your tickets to the game as they’re going fast. Come cheer on the Honeycrisps as we kickoff an unforgettable summer of baseball!
