FREE Food Sunday

If you’re not here for brunch, you’re doing your Sunday’s wrong. Free biscuits-n-gravy or waffles for everyone! And why not grab one of our fancy michelada’s or a mimosa while you’re at it!

Mills River Day

Come join us for the return of Mills River Day on Saturday, May 18th, from 11am-5pm! This will be a free event held here at the farm (3333 N. Mills River Rd, Mills River). We’ll have Mills River’s Lonesome Road, Nashville’s Levi Orr and Hendersonville local and American Idol contestant Meghan Woods performing in our music barn throughout the day. We’ll also have Ridin’ On Faith performances every hour!

We’ll have local non-profits with hands-on water quality activities, farm show, bounce houses, hay maze, u-pick strawberries, hayrides, farm tours and much more! There will also be numerous exhibits and fun for all ages!

Join us at 1pm for Run828’s Mills River Family Fun Run around the farm! We’ll start with the kids mile race with the parents race to follow. Participation prizes will be given at the end of the kids race.

We’ll also have Deli Volv and Mama Bear’s Food Truck along with Poppy’s Popcorn, Ken Cole’s Homemade Ice Cream and Butter and Bloom’s Delicious Homemade Pies!

2019 Asheville Do-nut Thro-down

Asheville’s doughnut makers throw down to see who’s got the best in town, PLUS a bake sale of DOUGHNUTS for the public! This is a benefit to raise money for the restoration and preservation of the historic hand-painted theater backdrops of the Asheville masonic Temple.

Monthly Outdoor Market

Redecorating? Spring cleaning? Whether you’re looking to make room for something new or looking to spruce up your space, join us on the lawn of Gotta Have It, the last Saturday of the month for our outdoor market. Maverick’s Grill will be set up serving delicious food, too.
Located just off I26. Bathrooms on site. Spaces are $30 for the day. No fee for shoppers. Tent and table set up available the day before.

Spring Garden Tour

Enjoy a free tour of Bullington Gardens. Explore the Native Woodland Garden, Sally’s Garden, Rain Garden, Pollinator Garden, Herb Garden, Shade Garden & the Therapy Garden with director, John Murphy. Tour is free, but please call 828-698-6104 to register or register online.

Art Adventures for Kids (8-12yrs)

In each session, kids will get a crash course on a particular artist or art technique, and create their own works of art using what they have learned as inspiration. All materials will be provided

Art Adventures will meet the last Friday of each month, January – May, at 3:30.

Artist Rock Painting, Collage Hangout & Art material Swap

WHAT: Come Hang Out Meet ZaPow Artists, Paint some rocks, or make a collage.

We will set up a table where people can drop off art supplies they are no longer using and pick up art supplies that they feel like taking. Any left behind supplies will be donated to YWCA after school programs.

We will provide paint, brushes, rocks and stuff to cut up and collage.

On the following Friday we can hide our painted rocks and collages around town for free art Friday and tag each other in the instagram posts.

WHO IS INVITED: Current ZaPow Member Artists plus all other artists, friends and family.
When: Sunday, March 24⋅6:00 – 9:00pm
If you want to participate in the swap, Bring: Art Supplies that you are not using, not going to use or are just tired of looking at, any magazines or pictures that you don’t mind people chopping up and making into collages.

COST: FREE. Of course, it would be great if you buy a coffee, beer or wine from the bar. Plus, then you get lovely beverages while hanging out with other artists. WIN! WIN!

Burn Boot Camp Group Hike

Let’s Get Together and go for a group hike! To finish out the March Mileage Madness we are getting together as a group to rake in a few more miles and enjoy some outdoor time together! Bring the Family!

Meet at HardTimes trailhead.

Take Long Shoals to Brevard Rd and head north past the arboretum to the road that takes you into Bent Creek.
