Blackberry Picking

Mid June through July

HOURS: Open daily from 9 to 5 except on Sunday. Sundays we … this year … will be open from 1 to 6. (weather permitting – call ahead to be sure they’re open, or check their Facebook page for updates)

DESCRIPTION: They have 10 acres of blackberries of four varieties, most of which go to supermarkets, but they do open a few rows for u-pick. Located on top of Sugarloaf Mountain, the view from their fields are for miles, “and the constant mountain breeze refreshes and replenishes the soul and you enjoy the berries from our thorn less 3 bite berries.” Just a note – we are a simple working farm where we love to open up for our wonderful local neighbors to experience a “real” farm in daily operation. I, the old farmer, made a decision a number of years ago to “keep life simple.” Therefore we are a “cash or check” farm. We are up on top of Sugarloaf mtn where we have to pipe in internet and I am the only one who can get cell reception.
