Come to Chick-Fil-A Merrimon Avenue on June 17th from 5-7PM for an Under the Sea Night! We will have crafts, face painting, and balloon art. Songs Sealed Delivered Party Entertainment will have 2 famous movie characters to sing the night away! This will be a fun event for all!

SkyTrek Observing Session
FRIDAYS: Star Trek … Marvel at the views through an array of optical telescopes, including our 25″ Dobsonian, and see what a DARK sky actually looks like. Take a Sky Trek with us as we explore each of the visible planets. Visit a few of the Wonders of our Milky Way before we journey to one of our neighboring galaxies. This event is designed for all ages, so bring the entire family.

Reservations are required and will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. the day of the event. Gates will open one hour before the start of the event, and close one hour after the start of the event. An optional dinner at our new restaurant, Smiley’s, will be served before observing from 6:00pm -7:30pm.
If you plan to use GPS for navigation to our site, be aware that many carriers have intermittent signal in PARI’s vicinity, so queue up the directions ahead of time. We have found Google Maps to provide the most reliable route to us when your use our address of 1 PARI Drive, Rosman, NC.
Please note that this event will take place rain, clouds or shine. Should outside observing conditions not be favorable, PARI educators have prepared an exciting indoor program and activities.

See Toy Trains from the Early 1900s to the Present
Come see trains from the early 1900s to the present. There are several tracks set up with working trains, and visitors can work the trains themselves! There is a separate train room for our youngest engineers, complete with push trains, engineer costumes and coloring pages! There is also a small gift shop where visitors can get anything from Christmas ornaments to train sets, from baby clothes to train whistles!
This museum is fun for every member of the family no matter how young or young at heart!
The entrance fee is a $5 donation per person. Children 2 and under are free. 100% of your donation goes to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

STEAM Workshops (5-8yrs)
Based on the wonderful trio of picture books by Andrea Beaty: Rosie Revere, Engineer; Iggy Peck, Architect; and Ada Twist, Scientist.
These two-hour workshops will be led by Spellbound staff member Elisha, who is also an elementary school teacher. Registration is required. Open to ages 5-8 years. Limited to 6 kids per session. $15 per child per session.

- July 4 – August 2, 2025 – A Midsummer Nights Dream …A Midsummer Night’s Dream weaves a magical tale of love, mischief, and mistaken identities. Set in a mystical forest, fairies interfere with the romantic entanglements of four young lovers and a group of actors, creating chaos and comedy as they navigate love’s enchantments and illusions.
- August 8 – August 30, 2025 – Cyrano de Bergerac …Cyrano de Bergerac tells the poignant story of the witty and courageous Cyrano, a man with a large nose and a big heart. In love with Roxane, he helps the handsome but inarticulate Christian win her affection, all while hiding his own feelings and sacrificing his love for her.
- September 5 – September 27, 2025 – King Lear …King Lear is a tragic tale of a king who divides his kingdom between his daughters, sparking betrayal, madness, and ruin.
