Each month we are are lucky to have local poet Tracy Schmidt with us for an hour on a Friday and a Saturday as she writes poems crafted just for you! Sit down with her and as you engage in conversation she will craft a thoughtful poem just for you…or a loved one!! This is a great opportunity to get to know one of our local poets and go home with something that’s indredibly unique.

Yoga can help kids learn to cope with stress and anxiety. Join us from 3 to 3:30pm in our South Asheville clinic.
Parents are free and kids are $5 each. — If this is your kids first visit, it’s free.

Adventure Camp is for boys and girls ages 8-15. ARC has teamed up with the Adventure Center of Asheville to give kids an action packed week. Campers will experience these activities on our 125 acre property with the exception of rafting. The rafting trip will be on the Upper Pigeon River through Wildwater Rafting. Additional activities include team building and wacky games and of course cooling off at the pool. Campers will need a swimsuit, and a towel on a daily basis. Each camp participant will receive a T-shirt.

The Canton Area Historical Museum was dedicated Labor Day, 1990 and is located on Park Street in the former Canton Branch Library. The museum is a nonprofit, educational institution. The kids can participate in a simple scavenger hunt.
The hours of operation are Monday -Tuesday from 1:00 to 5:00pm and Friday – Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm
