ABYSA FUNdamentals Soccer Camps (4-14yrs)

ABYSA FUNdamentals Soccer Camps is partnering with Asheville City Soccer Club for a great opportunity for youth players this summer! We will host the “Asheville City 3v3 Tournament” on the last day of camp each Friday. Asheville City soccer players will be in attendance, mingling with our youth players as they compete for the title! https://www.mynewsletterbuilder.com/e…/newsletter/1413002490

ABYSA FUNdamentals Soccer Camp is a great way for your child to spend a week having fun, while playing the world’s most popular sport!  Each day, campers work on their skills, play games, and swim at the pool—while enjoying the other campers and the staff.  We offer a games-centered teaching approach that enriches players’ passion for soccer while teaching proper soccer techniques for future soccer success.  Throughout the week the will work on various techniques or skills such as dribbling, passing, receiving, shielding, and shooting. We are also excited about our new partnership with the Asheville City Soccer Club.   This summer we will be hiring 2-3 of Asheville City’s players to work in camp and will also have apprearences from  some Asheville City players on Friday to mingle with our players during our camp soccer tournament at the end of each camp on friday.  Hopefully the kids will enjoy meeting there soccer heros and be able to watch them play this summer at Memorial Stadium.

  • Half-day camps for 4-6 year olds (9 AM – 12PM / Half-day campers will not go to the pool) $130/week
  • Full-day camps for ages 7-14. (9AM -4PM) $225/week
  • Early Bird Drop off available at 7:30 AM for additional fee $25/week
  • Lunch can be provided for an additional fee of $30/week
  • Asheville Camps located at the John B. Lewis Soccer Complex at Azalea Park in East Asheville.

All campers are placed in proper age groups to ensure developmentally appropriate teaching and competition. Children 11-14 will receive individual and small group tactical instruction—this is an ideal camp for Recreation, Challenge, and younger Classic players (U11-U14).  We work hard to challenge the higher level campers in the same way we do the less experienced ones. Players will have a ball at their feet almost the whole week and the atmosphere is perfect for a child who loves the game or for someone who just wants to learn more skills.

Our FUNdamentals camps run most of the weeks of the summer.  Annually, we offer eight weeks of summer camp and one week of spring break camp.

Food Services at the Mission

The food services at the Mission are quite unique in that the food is delicious and the entire public is welcome to join us for a meal, not just those staying in our living quarters.

Our cooks pride themselves on serving a square, hot meal that includes salad, meat and two veggies, as well as dessert, and in the summertime, you may find us outside having a cookout. This may be the only real meal some people get in a day, so we want people to walk away from us satisfied, nourished, and ready to deal with the challenges of their day.

Thursday Cook-outs Starting June 1st!

Every summer, starting on the Thursday after Memorial Day, we serve our Thursday lunch at the Gospel Warehouse at 628 7th Ave East. We offer lunch at that location to serve the surrounding neighborhoods. We host these cook-outs all summer long until Labor Day. Like with all of our meals, they are free to the public.
