Medieval Kids Faire & New Classic Ale Release Party

Thirsty Monk Brewery, French Broad Chocolates and Nine Mile have teamed up to create the New Classic Ale, a collaboration beer to benefit the New Classical Academy in Asheville, NC!
Bring the whole family for a fun-filled afternoon at the Medieval Kids Faire at the Thirsty Monk Warehouse, with plenty of exciting activities to enjoy, including delicious food, medieval crafts, a bouncy castle, games, LARPing, face painting, archery, a catapult competition and a medieval dress-up photo booth!

Each $10 adult admission includes a special, limited edition 750ML take-home Growler-Bottle of the New Classic Ale, a complex, yet easy drinking Belgian Ale, combining delicious, mild spices from Nine Mile, and rich cocoa from French Broad Chocolates!
Child admission is $5.

Tokens will be available for purchase, and can be redeemed for food or activities.

All proceeds directly benefit the New Classical Academy, and will be used to purchase school supplies and furniture for their new building.

Ms Arty Pants Mommy & Me Doughnut Date

2 Sessions! 10:00am-12:00pm & 2:00pm-4:00pm

Create a canvas together using two separate 8×10 canvases (one for Mommy and one for child) that create one picture when placed together!! How sweet is that?? Can choose from something we have or send us your own idea when registering and we will do our best to make it work! And what better to top off the morning than a yummy doughnut bar!

Little Bellas Asheville, NC Tuesday Program (7-13yrs)

The Tuesday Program offers recurring sessions throughout the summer to reinforce a strong female bond and mountain bike skills progression.

Ages: 7-13
Dates: June 19 – August 14 (excludes July 3rd)

$250 (Early Bird $225 until 3/15/18)

Time: Tuesdays 5:30-7:30

What’s Included:A jersey, goodie bag, snacks & party
What to Bring:• Bike Specific Helmet
• Mountain Bike- In good working order
• Water carrying device- Either a bottle to fit in a cage on the bike or a hydration pack.
• Closed-toed shoes
• Rain gear or extra layers if necessary


Schedule:1hr to 40 mins- Trail ride in small, age/ability appropriate groups
15 min- Snack (provided)
45min- Games and activities (each day of the program has a different and unique curriculum)

Greenways Discovery Day

The Greenways Discovery Day Tour is a guided tour of the greenway segments in Black Mountain.
Tour guides will share history of the greenways and the area as you walk some greenway segments and are shuttled in-between by our vans.
This tour will help participants envision the plan for Black Mountain’s Greenway System while learning about the history of Black Mountain.
There is no cost, but limited seating on the vans where some info will be shared (preregistration required to confirm your seat).

Live music June through October on Saturdays & Sundays, 2:00pm-4:00pm

We hope you’ll visit our general store; take a walk through the fields; pick apples in season; stand on our back deck and watch the barn swallows prepare to welcome new family members; sit at one of our picnic tables and have a bite with a view; read about our history; enjoy live music on our pavilion; or just hang out, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. We’re not a commercial orchard—we offer experiences and a look into what makes this piece of the Blue Ridge memorable. Spend an hour or an afternoon with us at the family- and pet-friendly Orchard at Altapass.
