Spruce Pine Farmer’s Market Outdoor Season
The Spruce Pine Farmer’s Market is located in the parking lot of the old Bank of America building on Oak Street, Spruce Pine. Our season is from April 24th – October 30th this year. Each Wednesday from 12:00pm until 4:00pm. Eat healthy, eat local, shop your farmer’s market!

We will operate as usualy with the freshest veggies and fruits in Haywood County. I think the egg supply will be more abundant this season, too. And baked goods are looking promising. There might also be some beef from Fines Creek for sale. We will have “special” days through the season, in addition to our great Watermelon Day in August, so come join us for some local interest!
Franklin NC Farmer’s Market

The Franklin Farmers Tailgate Market was established in 2001 by a group of local organic growers. The members had a common interest in gardening organically and many had more than enough to sell. From there, the Franklin Tailgate Market Association was formed to organize and run a farmers market.
A wide variety is offered throughout the season.There are plants, flowers, eggs, fresh produce, baked goods, soaps, mushrooms, breads, herbs, and much more.
Strawberry Picking
**Dates will be sporadic in the early season. Be sure to call ahead or check their Facebook to be sure they haven’t been picked out for the day before heading out.

We grow a wide variety of vegetables, strawberries and raspberries. most of our crops are organic. The strawberries are ripe and ready for you to bring your kids for strawberry picking.

Seating is farm benches and camp chairs, reserved exclusively for overnight guests of Village Hotel, The Inn, and Cottages on Biltmore Estate. Reserved seating will be held until 15 minutes before show time, after which seating is first come, first served.

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day Celebration
Suggested Donation: $5 to make/develop your own images, free to learn!
All Ages: Sunday April 30, 12-5pm
Celebrated since 2000 around the world, it’s the perfect day to learn how a pinhole camera works! This year in partnership with Asheville Museum of Science the darkroom crew will be starting out at the museum at 1pm to give a short demonstration and then roaming around downtown Asheville making pinhole photographs. From 3-5pm we will return to the darkroom to develop the images, and continue shooting in the South Slope. We have cameras available for participants to use, or, feel free to bring your own.
