Tiny Tykes Day (1-5 years)

The free family festival features hands-on experiences and adventures tailored for kids ages 5 and under including tumble and bounce houses, face painting, twisty balloons, craft making, biking, obstacle courses, special guests, train rides, sing-alongs, and more!

Area families are in for a fun-packed time during Asheville Parks & Recreation (APR)’s annual Tiny Tykes Day. The new location this year is Grant Southside Center ensuring a great time whether rain or shine!

Designed to encourage critical decision making and patience, APR program leaders host fun activities to build intellectual thinking and develop motor skills using bubbles, balloons, bikes, bounce houses, dinosaurs, and much more. Bring blankets and lawn chairs to stay closer to the action.

Admission is free for Tiny Tykes Day.

Community Yard Sale

What better time to clean out your attic, basement or garage than the spring. Come sell those unwanted items at the Tempie Avery Montford Community Yard Sale and keep the proceeds! Or just come out to shop from the 40+ vendors and take home some “new” treasures.

Fee: $5 per table for sellers, FREE for browsers

West Asheville Baptist Church and Music Ministry invites you to join them for the dramatic Easter presentation “Jesus The Christ…The Life, Love, and Sacrifice of the Savior”. Come and experience the life, ministry, miracles, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of The Lord Jesus.

This is a free event that will take place on Friday, March 18th and Saturday, March 19th at 7:00; and then again on Sunday, March 20th at 6:00pm. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Dinner

Join us on Sunday March 20th for a festive day full of fun and food! We will hold our annual Easter Dinner and Egg hunt on the Sunday precceeding Easter. Find the golden egg and win an Eno hammock to enjoy the start of Spring outdoors.

Dinner includes ham, macaroni and cheese, green beans, rolls and pie for dessert!

Bring your kids out for a fun time of egg hunting! We will have candy, prizes and facepainting. Bags will be provided for the egg hunt, but feel free to bring your own!

6th Annual No Excuse for Abuse 5K

This is our 6th Annual No Excuse for Abuse 5K event. We hope that experienced and inexperienced runners alike will come out to support New HOPE of McDowell!
School Team runners have a separate registration form and fees!

Race Day Registration for the event is from 7:30am – 8:30am. The actual race will begin at 9:00am.
