Summer Storytime: Freedom Stories
We hope that you will join us on Saturday, June 21st for our Summer Storytime!
Families with small children can enjoy picture books themed around the Fourth of July and Juneteenth in the Vance house at 10am, 11am, 12pm, and 1pm.
Crafts like windsocks will be available in the visitor center from 10am to 2pm. This event is free, but donations are encouraged.

LEAF Global Arts Presents: Sundown at Skylaranna Concert Series
LEAF Global Arts presents Sundown @ Skylaranna, a Concert Series that benefits artists impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Enjoy Local Music, Vendors, Food, Drinks, and more at SKYLARANNA Resort. There is a spa on site. You can book an appointment and relax before the concert. Pool Passes are also available for an additional cost.

July 18th – Grand Opening Celebration of the Ecusta Trail! Henderson County, the City of Hendersonville, Downtown Hendersonville, the Tourism Development Authority (TDA), and Friends of Ecusta Trail invite you to a landmark day as they celebrate the official opening of the Ecusta Trail! This exciting event will bring together residents, outdoor enthusiasts, and community leaders to mark the beginning of a new chapter in recreation and regional connection.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
2:00PM – Opening Ceremony
Join them at the TDA Trailhead Pavilion on Main Street for a festive kickoff featuring guest speakers, community recognition, and special announcements.
3:00PM – Ribbon Cutting
Gather at the bridge near Fresh Market as they officially open the Ecusta Trail with a celebratory ribbon cutting.
3:30PM – Trail Opens!
It’s time to ride, walk, or run! The trail is officially open to the public—bring your bikes, lace up your shoes, and be among the first to enjoy this scenic route. Whether you’re a cyclist, runner, or a parent out with the kids, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
